Happy new disastrous 2012!
2011 was f*cked up but now it's gone! Give it a few months for the newborn 2012 and you're gonna wish it was back to 2011!
Everyone please enjoy a new year full of more natural disasters, wars, economic terrorism and a possible Heroes VI expansion! (Yeah, that last part meant to sound as bad as the rest.)
On a brighter note, the world just might end this year, so that can't be all that bad. Just don't hold your breath for it.
So cheer up everyone for a monstrous 2012! Doom...

Alright guys, considering the Mayans where fairly badarse, we are going to die in exactly 256 days.
We are meant to live normal lives in these times of crisis.
I, for one, am suspecting WW3.

A civilization is supposedly be able to predict the end of the world and yet somehow fails to predict their own downfall.
And btw the Aztecs were far more awesome than the mayans

I think I've read somewhere that the Mayans did not predict any end per se, this was our interpretation of whatever it is they predicted.
If I remember right, it was something like about a god coming from the stars. Perhaps, I guess this god was later likened to a comet or an alien invasion by the eschatologists.
But the thing is, I read some people's opinion who said that the Mayans never said that this god or whatever is going to destroy the world. Just a real important event for them.
Still it's a prediction for the future and that's weak by itself.
