Hawken
Anybody interested in the new giant mech game, Hawken? It looks pretty sweet. Reminds me of the days of Mechwarrior 2.

Been having my eyes on this game for quite long.
Man so many betas right now... Tribes: Ascend... Path of Exile and now this. Can't keep up

I know the feeling. I have way too many games on my backlog. Hell, I have to replay ME 1 and 2 because I lost my saves. Since it's more of a chore, I'm not really looking forward to t.

Ancient revival bump.
It's a great game, and the first mech you get for free is very very well rounded and can easily be used against any opposition.
No reason not to try it, it's amazing.
Personally I love the Bruiser mech... I enjoy locking on to enemies and then swinging my aim to send missiles around corners. The Point-D Vulcan cannon is very satisfying as well.
If you decide to try it, here's a code that everyone can redeem for a 72hour XP boost (activates immediately and begins counting down when you redeem)
NEWRECRUIT
XP unlocks more equipment and optimization for your mech, so the code is best used when you've decided on a mech to focus on.

Dat feel when I unleash Assault Rifle rounds into a light Scout mech, dodging his TOW Missile and watch as he realizes his ambush has failed and tries to run.
Rush after him as he dodges around corners, I get a lock-on with my Hellfire Missiles and swing my torso around 90 degrees to my right and fire them, the satisfying soaring sound comes as the missiles' homing kicks in after a few metres and gracefully bend their trajectory around the corner, hitting the Scout's rear armour and tearing him to pieces, my HUD's beeping confirming the hit and kill.
I'm in ****ing love with these missiles.
