Heroes 6 Patch Communication (starting with the patch 1.3)

Hello dear Heroes,
To start, we’d like to apologize for these last months of silence. A number of issues needed to be resolved before we could resume communication, but we want to assure (and reassure) you that our commitment to improving, fixing and expanding the game is stronger than ever. Additionally, we’d like to thank you for your valuable feedback you’ve been sharing with us for many weeks. It is of a great help for us.
Now it is time for us to share with you some information about the coming confirmed fixes and gameplay improvements we have been working on.
Please, note that this list is not exhaustive and can still be modified. We’ll keep you updated about all the changes or new corrections if there are some.
Now let’s go into more detail about what’s next on Heroes VI.
First of all, we would like to ensure you that in the coming months there will be released several patches aiming to improve your Heroes VI game experience: bugs fixes, features fixes and tweaks, new features, balance improvements etc. We will also improve the map Editor along this patch process.
Just to give you a heads up, the planning of the coming patches is as follows:
Patch 1.3 will be released on second half of March
Patch 1.4, end of April
Patch 1.5, end of June
Patch 1.6, end of July
Patch 1.7, end of August.
We are going to have this steady stream of patches for the next six months while keeping you in the loop about the content of patches. Of course, your feedback is crucial for us. Please, post your ideas and suggestions on this forum.
1.3 patch will include a mix of online features along with a first set of bug fixes.
Online features:
Invite Friends: you’ll be able to invite players from your friend list directly in-game.
Official Map Tags: highlight official maps released by Ubisoft and the others in the map selection screen.
Bugs fixes:
Abilities/Gameplay/Campaign:
Sanctuary - The "Challenge" ability has no functionality.
Sanctuary - The "Trail of Clouds" will completely stop the movement of enemy units that attempt to cross its area of effect.
Haven - The Imperial Griffin creature can use its special ability while frozen.
Menu - The tooltips of the Reputation Abilities do not indicate the proper school which they belong to.
Necropolis - Wasting Grounds does not award the bonus stated in its description
Campaign -The primary quest "The Choice” will not complete when the user upgrades his reputation after visiting an Arena.
Campaign - The hero cannot interact with a Dragon Nexus near the town of Nar-Heresh
Campaign – In multiplayer, the resources spawn outside the island on Tree of Plenty map.
Campaign - The user cannot select any hero for the Epilogue campaign after previously visiting the other campaign tabs
The Unyelding trait the user receives for finishing the Sanctuary campaign does not work
The Barbarian Hero trait the user receives for the Wormchopper achievement does not work as stated in the description.
The custom hero changes into Irina at the beginning of Sanctuary 2.
Create Hero panel's class specific ability name is not localized.
Multiplayer:
The player that is attacked during a Multiplayer session by another player can't complete any Combat Achievements during that battle
During Siege, one of the player remains on the map if the other player exit the session.
If the user is defeated by not completing the condition to re/capture a town or fort in 7 days - he will receive achievements completed by the AI
There is no confirmation dialog when kicking another player from the lobby.
Some of multiplayer map name is displayed to English
A previously saved session cannot be finished after being reloaded, if not all the players rejoin the saved game.
The user that does not join a loaded game will still have his assets in the game.
The client remains on infinite loading screen if he joins any Multiplayer server after he lost his internet connection
Conflux:
The user cannot buy the newly unlocked items from the Altar of Wishes when reaching a new Dynasty rank, until he advances one more Dynasty level.
The information provided when using "Compare" is incomplete
The Online Profile displayed is the one of the previous selected friend, if changing the tab to Online Profile after choosing Compare achievements option from the Friends list.
The Player statistics transfer from one player to another after using the "Compare" and "Details" .
When selecting the "View online profile" option for a friend from the friends list, the achievements list shown remains the one of the user.
The confirmation message received when trying to remove an active widget is not localized
The user cannot see the details and compare the achievements with the other in "leaderboards" and "friends".
After losing the connection to Conflux servers on the transition to the Main Menu, a debug text error is displayed and the Main Menu background disappears
The user is unable to load any save while in game, after reconnecting to the Internet
Various:
Map Editor - The maps created with the Editor do not appear in the Multiplayer game lobby.
The sound FX is distorted when modifying the movement of the AI, units and Hero.
None of the artifacts present in the Artifact Merchant menu has a description.

Mostly uninspiring list, yet another patch to address bugs and to add nothing to the already abandoned game in terms of (re)playability. I find it hard to decipher some things though. Does this:

Well, at least we get some information at last, and yes, I interpret the part about the ME in the same way.
And notice they say in the end there will be more information on new content (probably Town Screens) soon(TM).

Irina said it wss not town screens, my guess is that its some Conflux Dynasty Weapon DLC BS
but who knows, might be Academy DLC or something like that O.o
I still don't get how hard it can to make some small balance changes every patch, look at the community patch thread
those changes took like a week to make and put into the game

but the thing that shocks me is the amount of CRAP they are fixing that I don't even know or care about [arg,...I shouldn't be surprised conflux/profiles/achievements matter more than actual freakin' game itself..my chances of buying expansion gets less & less with each official communication <insert eye-blink smiley>]
ooh, they're fixing distorted sound due to animation speed up...hope many are ecstatic about that <eye-roll>
btw I predict patch 1.4 at June/July with townscreens & then patch 1.5 at around about release of expansion late this year like Nov (or early next year if they are really badly slow/dumb to miss out on Xmas sales)

yes it is true that fixing itself may take only about an hour of work, but you are not calculating the time it took to find this unrecorded and well hidden bugs, that not even we, the always vigilant comunity noticed or cared about.
I think ill stick with the comunity patch for now - atleast for another six months or so when 1.7 might just be the key. Falconian there made an awsome job - and it actualy adresses game balance.
On positive note, atleast we know they didn't abandon Heroes completley - after 1.7 they might start thinking of announcing the next expansion

Agreed!
Some questions:
Sanctuary - The "Trail of Clouds" -> do they mean the "trail of mists" from the Kirin?
The custom hero changes into Irina at the beginning of Sanctuary 2. ??? Was this a bug? I don't remember this in the Sanctuary campaign....

Hmm maybe they mean after patch the custom hero will change into Irina - it didn't happen now ... but after patch it will
also - mist, clouds, fog ... what's the diference - it's a trail made of vaporized water

I feel sorry for them. Not in a good way though, the whole situation is just so unbelievable and pathetic.

I wonder which urgent matters hindered them from saying just as much as a peep. Maybe they did not post anything because they believe the fanbase thinks constant updates without actual changes or patches are worthless, but for me, a total lack of communication is even worse! My word, there are threads in this forum discussing the possibility of Heroes 6 being abandoned altogether!

I just read this.
So they come out of nowhere after months of silence with a list of trivial, miscellaneous fixes no one cares about, that probably sum up to a day of work.
No mention on ANY - not even one - of the issues that all players have been talking about for months, which I'm not even going to list because everyone and their mother know them.
Seems pretty evident how deep they thrusted their head in the gating hole, just wonder how low their gating skill must be to take months to come up with this.

Now now ... i don't want to sound like im protecting Ubi (again!), but despite this i feel they don't deserve all the bashing ...
I for one am happy they at least started, and presented us rough plan, so we know they started to solving things. It might be litle things (unimportant things) for now, but in time game will be playable.
(ofc i am only saying this, coz my current PC can only play at low settings and am willing to w8 till i get new pc sometime in April anyways )
Now they have been silent, that's true (there's also NDA policy), and their communication with public is clearly not to be proud of, but there are hints - and strong ones at that, that they have been working on new faction (academy!), and also town screens(!) - so there's that to look forward too
(ofc im still angry at ubi to lunch incomplete game in the first place )

Yeah, at least there is some guideline for the patches to come and set dates....something we are not used to with Ubihole!
Still when they mention a patch affecting better luck, nerfed necro ability, better doggies....then I'll be happier.

As I understood it there are strong hints that messed academy so much up they had to release the game with 5 factions only (lower than any other heroes). And for the town screens... its more than 1 year since they were woken up that they should have them... we still do not have them .
I could "forgive" them all this fiasco, if they would come and say: "you know what? we had problems, but now we start again and we will improve this current release until it will have all the features players are missing"
