Game Interface: What would you like to see added/improved?

Title says it all! Maybe some are bugs but I list them anyway because they should not be mistaken with intended "features" (like squeaky voices "feature".)

General:
- Battle animations cannot be sped up due to HORRIBLE! sound speeding
- Convert building animation cannot be skipped by default from options.
- Intro movie is played every single time and is not shippable by mouse.
- There are no numbers on hero path.
- Level-Up window has no ****on to direct me to the ability point allocating screen. I always have to close it open my hero screen again and then navigate to ability screen.
- Right click a hero, there is no EXP info, no Movement info (creature have this), no available skill points info.
- In battle when defending, key bindings are not working
- There are no icons for archers mele attack or harpies no return. (Really annoying in Mouse only play)
- Kingdom overview should give you more detailed information about your creature income for example.
- Kingdom overview should have a HD! minimap and 2X the size it is right now.
- Hero portraits seem to glow randomly. Very confusing. Just glow the active one.
- There is no move armies button. (Will make trains a lot faster)
- There is no next hero button. (Very useful in combination with existing move button)
- When I select an artifact clearly! show i what slot it goes to. Right now is hardly visible.
- When you have many artifacts display them all. Now with the scroll buttons its really hard to move (impossible sometimes), or to compare.
- All set artifacts look the same, and the wall of text does not help either. Needs improving.
- When I select an artifact from a set, highlight all artifacts from the same set that I have.
- Quest window. There is no information about artifacts that are rewards from quest.
- Dynasty weapons. Show a bar for its upgrade progress. (like hero exp).
- Markets do not show transaction-ed values in real time. You always have to calculate.
- Special offers should highlight resources the same way as normal market. (same arrows).
- At beginning of campaign mission You select dynasty traits whiteout any hero info.
- I cannot see my main heroes artifacts when I buy artifacts from market. Detais: When I buy an artifact in town, of course I will buy it for my main hero but with a secondary one. the thing is I cannot see what artifacts I have on my main hero
- To few options for starting a map: allow free choice between battle AI and AI, between resources and AI difficulty, show map creator's recommended settings for the map.
- Sanctuary horses "travel" over water. Put them in boats instead.
- There is no dismiss hero button.



Town Screens: (Regardless if they will be full or windowed)
- Town Screens! Well... we want them .
- Towns should have detailed information about resources it produces and creature numbers.
- Buildings in town should give more info (You can build a creature building but there is no info about that creature).
- Minimap should be fully visible in town screen mode and selected city clearly visible on it.
- Allow town sorting (when you lose and reconquer a town it goes to the end).
- Allow a "I'm done building" Option in Town Screens. So you can easily see where you still want to build.


Battle:
- When I select a creature in ATB, highlight it on battlefield.
- Right click info window should disappear at a new right-click press.
- ATB - Show proper cursor when I target a creature on ATB
- On right click info should be more detailed (show extra magic numbers (+3 light magic, etc), sort Skill icons a little more, show where the skill is coming from, creature, hero-skill, artifact.)
- HP bar is on top of stack numbers sometimes.
- Hero luck or morale is hidden behind their huge flags.
- Shortcuts need some debugging. Scrolls do not disappear and all heroes share same shortcuts.
- If stack will die from attack, do not write with red "It will retaliate!"


Conflux:
- Chatting in-game is a horrible experience right now.

They do, but only if all your creatures are amphibian. Wouldn't make sense to spawn a boat out of nowhere, would it?

if you do not know what artifats your hero is using, then there is a real problem with your game play

- Sanctuary horses "travel" over water. Put them in boats instead.
Have you ever look at those horses? They look more like a Kirin then the Kirin itself. And you should play the first map of the sanctuary campaign.. or did you not? YEY an amphibian horse, welcome to a fantasy game

- If stack will die from attack, do not write with red "It will retaliate!"
I woudl be really interested, what woudl you be saying, if one of the next towns would be focused on bad luck, and those stacks that are not supposed to survive are sudanly still there and hitting your attackers, even if the toolitp did not say "LOOK OUT!! They will retaliate"...

Gamer are so freaking lazy right now.

Well, ty for your input. I do not pretend I am right about everything or that I am representing the whole community. Those are just my "issues" with the game. This is the purpose of this thread. Some of the stuff I would like implemented could take as less as 10 minutes of developer time as opposed to the time consuming and uber expensive Towns Screens lets say.

I play mouse only! I have a huge LCD tv and play from couch away from kb. This is the only thing that breaks this experience. Where to mention it is stupid to have a core feature, hidden, undocumented and unbind-able to other keys like all other things.

Right now all artifacts in all sets look so much alike that for me is really hard to distinguish between them. And to read every single artifact only to find out what I have.... From artifact description you can find out with some margins only how many you have already. To find out exactly how many or what artifacts you have, you need to read them all.

if you do not know what artifacts your hero is using, then there is a real problem with your game play


As a matter of a fact I do not remember all artifacts my hero has and the tons of different things they do. So I have to always go out of town, go to main hero and look. Sometimes even twice!

It is a personal preference and to me it would make more sense than flying horses. They even went out of their way in campaign, like you said, to justify those flying horses. Much simpler: auto-summon-boat when reaching water.
Side thought... what happens if 2 sanctuary heroes meet in a fight on water? Is the battlefield water?

Here you may be right. I did not thought about this. Maybe just because I never saw bad-luck in my tens of hours of play, but every 10 seconds I see a red no retaliate .

Battle: When creatures are running there should be a quick combat button for that battle. (Would make playing blood heroes faster)

In castle, heroes cannot exchange artefacts to each other (or i haven't find it yet).

Sorry but if my sister, who has a focuse range of 20cm can play the game without any problems, your naging that you cant see the texts and images from the distance of 4 meters on your huge LCD because you do not want to, or are not able to move closer to it is just... WRONG.. so damned wrong.

And about the keyboard problem. Ever heard about whireless keybords? They would go great with your whireless mouse.

It just gives me the opinion that you are just not the type of person for this game. And that such people are the reason for the streamlined game we have recieved. If you want to play a brainless grupe of pixels on your sofa I would recomned something like HELO or ony other brainless FPS of a game.

And yes today I am going to rage against any god damned emo whiner that comes acrose my eyes because I have enought of all the crap that a person, that just wants to help other people who have problems with this game, has to read.

Most of these are not the real issues H6 UI has at all! No wonder things stand as they are. It's much more annoying to me that you don't see creatures growth rates for eg. - this info is needed! Annoying thing about UI is that it focuses on "art" and "style" and "eye candy" instead of usability and effectiveness.

Look at H3 UI for eg. - that's a good UI! And this is old game! When i look at my hero in H3, I have all info displayed in one big window: His army, stats, artifacts, skills, exp, spell points etc. Now i ask you this - why must every of these things be in separate tab/window in H5 and H6? Some things are buried under several menus in order to access them. How is this good UI?

Market UI is not "bad" because it doesn't have calculator included, but because it's hard to read - what am I trading? - I actualy made a mistake a few times and bought wrong resource! Again in H3 this was much better, in H5 this was also better - and H5 is Ubi game! Irony is, market UI was more readable even in games which had more resources. Who taught buying things from bottom to top would be a good idea anyway? It's counter-intuative! It's like reading left to right - human brain does not function like this naturaly, because we read from right to left, top to bottom from early age.

And kingdom overview ... oh the pain it took me to find it at all! Some buttons are hidden in various places. This is not good!

Battle - I agree with krs on this one tho - that "will retaliate" on stack that will be killed makes no sense. I'm sorry if you dissagree but in H5 it said stack won't retaliate, if it was supposed to be killed. Now regarding bad luck ... THERE'S NO BAD LUCK ANYMORE. So no stack might survive due to this. In H5 there was bad luck and still said "Reatliate: no" (even if creature did sometimes due to bad luck). Now it says that creatures will retaliate even if there is no bad luck anymore - makes no sense. I guess this is still thing left from beta. But this is not a big issue at all! i don't care if it stays this way, as long as other UI troubles are gone.

You completely misused/misunderstood the feedback I've provided in my post. And the tone and arguments you use are gratuitous.

First I never said I cannot see to my TV you just made that up just to be mean. Secondly I have a good reliable wired keyboard but I prefer to play mouse only so cut me the "ever heard of wireless kb bull**t". And last for the whole emo stuff... no comment.

So please, unless you have something constructive to add to this thread, ignore it and read other ones more close to your tastes.

Well i agree with some of the points and disagree.

I think sanctuary should not summon boats they are water creatures and for that dont need boats.

Im kind of 50 / 50 about the im done building thing. Reason to do it is ofcourse becouse it could show a different collour hammer. but on the other hand its not really that big of a hassle to remember is it?

i will get to more poins later and maybe add to the list.

Now that you mention it, I would actually love to see EXP bars on my dynasty weapons (and to see them become more useful, but that's another story) and I would also love to see creature growths! The conversion animation does become a tad bit annoying when you've seen it for the 15+ time on the same map () and the option to skip it would be most welcome. And of course, town screens. We should have them nau. You should have the ability to auto-battle the neutral creeps who want to run, if only for the sake of time for blood path heroes.

Most of the list though does seem a bit like nit-picking and laziness, I would like to see some more major changes to the game first (Like town screens and Mage guilds/ Thieves guilds) before Dynasty weapon exp bars. My 2 cents.

I get that but since army's representation is a horse I would prefer the horses not flying like a space ship.

Besides - Sanctuary horse does not fly. At all. It walks on watter. It's a magical waterwalking ninja horse

Now maybe in campaign this is presented diferentley (I didn't do all campaigns yet so idk), but that's how I see it - and that's how it's supposed to be. Ofc I agree that there are better options for sanctuary hero - why does (s)he ride a horse anyway - horses aren't fish related - why not kirin instead?

Or better yet (my version) why not seahorse! collorfull seahorse that swims in watter, and floats on rainbow! And leaves the trail of butterflies ....

Yup. It was really confusing at beginning and now it is only hard to work with. You have to really pay attention to see what goes where, when you have many artifacts the scrolling are close to impossible to sort/use. And artifact sets.... they just look the same.
