SLENDER - will scare the **** out of you
Slender is an indie horror game that's free for download. It's based on the "Slender Man" mythos of a faceless man in a suit who kidnaps children.
The more you know about Slender Man the more likely he is to take you, and your mission is to find 8 notes about the Slender Man in a dark forest...
It has scared me and 3 of my guests today to hell and back.
I seriously want you to check it out, it's fricking awesome. Small download too, just 60 MB.

@Zeki: Indeed, Pewdie led me to the game as well.
Didn't think it'd be that scary after I had seen it earlier but... yeah it's pretty darn terrifying.

@ Tsar: I'm playing it too, can't play this game for more than 1 hour straight.
Ok, so I tried this Slender, found first three notes, only saw this dude from far away and i thought, ok, nothing special. Then I went into this house that looks like some bath, biggest mistake ever!!! On my way out this mister appears behind me while i was in one of the rooms: game over.
Damn, my hands are still trembling

Without the sounds this games are less then half as scary than with...
There are 8 notes, right? Is he getting faster or something after you get more of the notes?

@Ivor: Too bad, 90% of the scary is in the sound.
Put the audio back on and crank the bass up, the scary drum needs to vibrate your floor.

I watched the videos and the game isn't so scary It's more misterious. You just don't turn around and you can make it out alive  .

Of course it's not that scary if you know the mechanics behind the monster that's after you, the whole point of it is that YOU DON'T KNOW.
The unknown is scary. He still jump-scares me all the time anyway though, it's still scary.
Get a friend who hasn't heard of it to play it, I haven't met one person so far who hasn't complained about wanting to stop the game.

One more thing: You can't predict the Slender's mechanics, because every time you start the game he will always stalk you different ways.

I knew these guys were brilliant but..

I have failed to get more than 6 notes, and I'm not playing it anymore.
Once you get used to it it just doesn't scare anymore and your speed is so annoying that just screw it 
You're right about that when you don't know what to expect it's pretty damn scary
