Evil Eyes vs Beholders in expi mode.

do you think it's better not to upgrade the beholders in wog if creature expi is on. beholders get no penalty bonus and their shots cast forgetfulness on the enemy which means you can hinder your opponents shooters very easily. evil eyes only get immunity to mind spells.

Hard to say, +2 speed, immunity mind and +100% ammo are not that bad for upgrade, but also no obstacles penalty and forgetfulness are nice.
12 shoots only could be bad for end game though and don't forget you get a 1 tile movement penalty with speed 5 stack.

is there a chart or thread explaining the hero movement-creature speed relation. for example what happens if my hero has only two units, phoenixes and zombies. how does that effect my speed? do zombies slow me down or phoenixes boost my speed?

Well, let's add some content to this topic...

Non-upgraded Gorgons are actually very nice as well when they get some XP: they get to attack twice. Against Necropolis (or Gargoyles/Golems/Elementals) that is a significant improvement compared to a Death Stare that doesn't work.

Any other creatures that might be worth not upgrading (immediately)? Didn't realize Beholders were that different from Evil Eyes... something to think about.
