After doing a bunch of research, I found out that the idea of a doppelganger that I used was a combination of a Skin Walker (Shapeshifting into animals almost at will) and the Doppelganger (Near-immortality, golden eyes, impersonating humans, weaknesses to gold, silver, salt, hawthorn, fire). I hope it's still acceptable to use this as my character's species.

Name:Bernhard Johann von Lunsberg, "Ben"

Monster Description:
Powers: Ability to set alight it's pumpkin head and use it as an exploding projectile; Inability for it's way to be barred.(I.E. Locks, gates and such things cannot stop it from going whereever it pleases); Ability to ride with the wind (I.E. to ride it's horse faster than horses should be able to run and to be accompanied by strong gusts of wind while doing so); The ability to drench anyone in blood at will(blood comes out of hammerspace); Being undead;

Weaknesses: Inability to cross streaming Water; Fire; Gold(Gold is to him like silver is to werewolves and crosses are to vampires(It both frightens and hurts him upon touch)); Hates being watched (I.E. He must stop others(non-allies) from watching him with whatever means necesary (From sacring away the watcher, through blinding, to killing) before being able to continue with that it was doing); Being stopped, albeit for short while, by the sound of explosions/cannonfire(It's own head does not count);
Appearance
As The Horseman, he wields a Cavalry Sabre and or a Whip that looks like a spine.

Human Description:
Ben is a man in his mid twenties, notable for being heavy-set and tall. His hair is blonde(ashen) and longish, and he wears both long sideburns and a Vandyke style Goatee though no moustache. He tends to wear nondescript clothing, though has a particular liking for sweater-vests.
Though he and his family are American, they are of German descent and proud of it. The Von Lunsbergs enjoy rather some respect within German-American culture and try hard to keep specific German customes alive and most of the family works somewhere or in some capacity in the brewing business. Though unbeknownst to Ben, the first Von Lunsberg in America became the first Headless Horseman and it's curse runs through the male line of the family. A curse that is not lifted untill the original head is found and reunited with the body of the Original Horseman. Having been to college in England, Ben has adopted a Brittish accent.

Gnomes I have no issue with how the character is right now. Only means I have to do an initial post for your character BEFORE I can do the main post for all.  Seeing as everybody is supposed to know about the Organization from birth/creation. Makes 'recruiting' much easier when it is passed from generation to generation .

Noobx - Bone Golem is fine, though with his saying things he shouldn't..how he is going to remain 'secret' is another thing.  Will just make it harder for everybody else.  Cause once the word about monsters is out, the game becomes 100x harder.

Berny - Since I don't know anything about them, I'd have to know their weaknesses and strengths before agreeing to anything

Alkar - Fog generating is fine .  First post will be up by this time tomorrow.

I had to even him out - he's is a golem afterall. I couldn't think of any other weakness for him.

Well, at least it will become more difficult for anyone that can't shapeshift into fluffy bunnies or change his face.

What if Elvin was female?
posted November 23, 2012 09:08 AM

Name: Jack Jackson (creative, I know)

Monster type and description:

Type: Jack 'o' Lantern

Powers: Jack can survive total decapitation of all limbs, and control each individual part independently.  He can animate mannequins, scarecrows, pumpkins, gourds (and similar) making them grow vines and otherwise aid him.  The more he animates however, the quicker he tires out. He is also surrounded by small will 'o' wisps that cast a dim light around him.

Weaknesses: His weaknesses are fire, silver, and fallowed land (land that is designed to grow crops but have been left without crops to allow the land to replenish itself).

Human life/ description:

Appearance: A handsome man in his prime. He is rather slim and tall while he's head is round and looks a bit not proportional to the rest of his body. He's always clean shaven and well and generally takes great care of himself. He wears a suit and stylish boots. He also carries a cane with a big jewel on top. Some say that in the night the they've seen the jewel emit a dim light, but when confronted on the subject Jack always claimed that he never leaves home without a flashlight and the cane has nothing to do with it.
Background: Jack comes from a long line of Jack 'o' Lanterns and was always fascinated by his heritage. Though he knows about his powers from birth, he never really cared about them and as such didn't have a chance to develop them. The reason for this is because out of all the line of Jack 'o' Lanterns only two sparked his interest: the original Jack 'o' Lantern who is known more than anything for his ability to trick the Devil and Jack Skellington aka the Pumpkin King who has abandoned the scarecrow appearance and abilities for a more refined look. As such Jack prefers the look of a gentleman and was until now reluctant to use his more classic Jack 'o' Lantern powers.

If such is the case, you may want to make one for my char as well. That, or I have to adapt the char bio I've written so far. As you'll read, though the curse runs in my char's family, he does not know of it yet and it has yet to manifest in my char.
Of course I can always make such a post myself, where the curse becomes manifest in my char. Depending on what the trend is going to be with the other participants.

O was thinking thatThe Slender Man looks like a fun character. Not too strong, but not too hard to play.

That is not a bad idea .. having the two that want their characters to be the exception to post their own posts on how they get to know about the Organization ... .  I will create the first post in the IC, as a place holder..and Gnomes and War can post their first posts on how they learn about their background.  Make life easier for me.

Edit : You know what I like about this though?  Since the characters have to remain in human form most of the time, least people get suspicious and start hunting them...limits the "Bar fight" Scenes.  You know, where the character kicks somebody's behind, proving how bad they are?  As humans, the characters have ALL the weaknesses of a human.  A bar fight would be as bad on them as any of the people they fought (or any similar "I am the biggest baddest guy, kicking 100 people's tail" post of any sort).

I am having trouble making the Slender Man able to act like a human, as he does not have a face I think maybe being a Faerie instead would limit my ability to go out of control, but then I would need your help with powers and weaknesses, if you're up for the task

My character just needs things to be explained to him (his powers are already manifesting) so maybe he can just show up at a meeting place that everyone is gathering at and he can talk to people about what he is/ what he needs to do.

The main weakness for a fairy or one of the Fey is iron. Iron can harm most fey creatures. Some fairies show other weaknesses but it is usually specific to the fairy in question. As for longevity I think fairies are basically immortal unless destroyed with an iron weapon or by another fairy. Fairy powers differ depending on the fairy in question. Some had power over the weather and other elements, some can control shadows or become unseen at will, etc. There are tales of Oberon the king of the fey changing the day to night when angered, and Titania the queen wrapping herself in fallen leaves that become a beautiful gown, etc. In the end, its fiction and your story so do whatever you like.

I found this somewhere, but I find it a bit overpowered being able to control weather and that sort of stuff. Weakness to iron is extremely neat, as iron is everywhere in the modern world. I would prefer it, however, if Mytical chose the powers of my Faerie

Gnomes I will come up with something, give me time.  Wog...there are many type of Fae.  You have pixie, sprites, brownie, gremlin, sylph, nyad, dryad..and that is just off the top of my head.  .

So, you want me to pick abilities and weaknesses for your Fae. I can do that.

Give me a bit, and I'll fix you right up.

As for the thin man..remember ALL monsters have an actual human form.  In his monster form, he has no face, but when he is human, and he will be human most of the time to avoid detection..he is just like every other human on the planet..face and all.

That will go for Fae also.  They will be perfectly normal humans when they are human, and will be human more then Fae.

Sorry, but I have to impose this and fire as a weakness, simply as I will not have Deuce ex Machina running around.  This is a way of keeping things under control.  It also explains how the monsters have gone undetected for this long (ie able to be human).

Ok so Fae powers.  Flight, create illusion (Short time, but can cover quite some area), Telekinesis (nothing larger then a picnic table), Trip (a spell that will cause a being to trip..), Dancing Lights (as per the spell), and throw voice.  Fae are tricksters, most of their power goes to tricking people.

Weaknesses cold iron, fire, Dawn (you know that time when the sun rises?).  However, their powers actually increase at dusk and midnight. (A very brief period of time)

Additional abilities at Dusk and Midnight.  Pyrokenisis (Create fire with their minds, this fire or any fire caused by it can not hurt the Fae), and Fade (become immaterial, immune to just about anything..for a minute or two)
