Well, I guess I'll bag the armor until he can cast spells with it. The quarterstaff will be easier to deal with though, so I'll keep that with him.
Should I choose a total of spells as a 1st level wizard, or reduce it some?

Alkar I ok'd padded armor, in case you missed it, because of the multiclass. You get just as many spells as a first level specialist mage..remember that one has to be of your speciality however.
As for gods .. hmm there are domains for clerics..I traditionally use Dragonlance Gods (Paladine, Takisis (or however you spell that), etc). Which is why only the Lawful Good paladin gets can use the Holy Avenger to it's full potential (in any other person's hand it is just a +2 sword). Because Paladine is the one who kicks butt and takes names. So I think I will continue to stick with the DragonLance Gods.
As for monks my memory is playing tricks on me, I am using the non oriental rules which can be found here: http://www.mjyoung.net/dungeon/char/clas017.html. That will solve any confusion. However, as I said I do allow them to use leather and get any bonuses after a certain level.
I will make the initial post here soon. Fighting a massive headache.

Yes. . And of course the world is not the Dragonlance world. You will not find Lord Soth, Huma, or such running around.

Thank you!
I will try to make a character later. I read a little about D&D spells, can I have a level 1 spell and that other freebies that my class have? Oh btw, I'm thinking of having a Cleric in this RP.

Yes, do not forget your wisdom modifier for spells. I give a 18 wis to Clerics for purposes of spells.

You actually chose one of the least complicated classes to play, since we're not choosing our skills.

Just making sure I don't have to select the 3 or 4 I would get otherwise.

Yes and no. Within reason to keep the flow of the game, I do let characters decide what happens in a fight. For instance, you come upon a patrol of goblins, and they attack. Since goblins are little threat individually..I won't raise a fuss if a character posts that his/her hit connects and kills a goblin (just make it interesting). However, if that person posts that in one post that he/she kills twenty goblins without a scratch..I will step in. The only time this changes is when I say differently in the OoC..that usually means one of two things..there is something unusual about the fight..or there is a 'Main Bad Guy' or "Important Bad Guy" present. Then it will go round by round and I decide what attacks land, etc.

Name: Celestine Flomeigne
Age: 20
Race: Human
Gender: Female
Class: Cleric
Deity: Mishakal
Alignment: Neutral Good
Appearance: Celestine has a milk-white complexion. She stands 170 cm tall and weighs 62 kg. She has long straight blonde hair that extends down to her waist. Her eyes are big and are colored green. Her lips are a light shade of pink. She has a pretty face that one might just forget his problems at the sight of her. Celestine wears chainmail, although this is not what she prefers, and leather boots.
History: Celestine was raised in a merchant class family. She had a sister and a brother. She’s the second child in the family following his sister. She had a very good family upbringing. Her parents thought her the ways of a moral life. With their family being worshipers of Mishakal, Celestine gained interest in the goddess and thus decided to become one of her servants.
At the age of 14, Celestine entered as a servant in a small temple of Mishakal at their village. She was tasked to do simple chores such us cooking, cleaning and gardening. That was where she became fond of gardening.
At the age of 16 she was accepted as one of Mishakal’s clerics. There she was thought prayer, rituals and philosophy of the goddess. She was also thought the basics of healing and aid, be it a spell or conventional healing. Celestine took this to heart and this was where she dreamed of becoming a high priestess of Mishakal.
The high cleric in their temple noticed her diligence and hence decided to send her out on a mission. She eagerly accepted. She was sent to Andor’s End to test her faith, tune her skills, and most importantly discover the Goddess' plans for her. She was to live alone and live with Mishakal’s teachings, and find the truth behind her goddess’ philosophy. She was told to report to Amy Whiteland, a cleric of Mishakal who lives in the place. Celestine was to return after she had found what she seeks.
Personality: Sweet, charming, smart, cheerful, loving, caring and compassionate – you can find all these traits in Celestine. She is very friendly and most of the time, approachable. She is very inclined toward the philosophy of her goddess. She lives with the morals and teachings of Mishakal.
Most of her time, she spends praying to Mishakal. It is her priority. She’s very devoted to her goddess and dreamed to become a high priestess one day. But when she has free time, she loves to do gardening, tending the vegetables for eating, and the herbs for healing. Celestine also likes to do crafts. She likes to create simple things from scraps of worthless items.
Furthermore, Celestine is blessed with a very good voice and is fond of singing. She believes that this is a blessing from Mishakal and she wants to enhance this talent. She can often be heard singing while working in the garden.
Evil is the only thing that Celestine opposes in the world, evil of any kind. Anytime she sees evil she tries to purge it in any way she can.

Those were good times, Misty. I often wonder what happened to Ceres and Winterfate; they just sort of disappeared. Fortunately, we still have Alkar and the Glade is home to many great players and games.
Mostly due to time. I've been quite busy lately and the best time to update would be at work, which is far from ideal. I usually start my games with a lot of gusto but lose steam. Towards the end, I almost dread updating because it's more due to feeling like a chore at that point than something creative and fun. I have abandoned a lot of rpgs and do not want to do so again, especially to the detriment of a creative DM.
