I reinstalled a HoMM3 Complete clean and installed Era II over it and now it works! Thanks very much folks.

I do have another ERA II-related concern, however, that I'll post here since I have your attention.  With ERA II, a few (not all) of my custom creatures are replaced by their original animations from the game.  However, when I open up H3Sprite.lod, it only shows my new creatures and the originals are nowhere to be found.  Where is the game reading these original animations if I've replaced them in the lod file?

You are doing it all wrong.

1) Open Sn/Vid/pac within mod manager
2) Create mymodname.pac
3) Drag inside all your creatures defs
4) Create mymod folder then data folder in, place your .pac file inside
5) Put yourmodname folder in Era/mods
6) Enable it in mod manager, now game will read your custom defs from priority mod. Disabling this mod will re-enable regular creatures.

If still don't get it, download any objects patch from era mods thread and look at structure, your must be similar.

Ah, I just replaced some defs in the pac file within the mod folder and everything works fine now.  Thanks.
