The Night Sky
For some reason I find the night sky rather pleasant to watch. It gives me the nostalgia feeling. I remember my early childhood and think of the old days when school was unknown to me... It was a nice time.
Here are some nice pics:
What is your opinion on the night sky? Do you like it? How do you feel while watching the scattered stars and galaxies from our small planet?

I have not seen/remember a star filled sky for many years now. (the last one that I recall with clarity was over a decade ago)
I find the night sky perfect, when I look upon her face my mind goes perfectly still. My thoughts are purified by the eternal abyss. If it weren't for the cold, or the flickering of the fire and other such things that draw my attention, then I'd be lost.
Last june I ventured out alone in the middle of the night, and I spent what felt like an eternity in an empty field glaring up at the clear sky, and the moon blazing ever-so brightly. (the light illuminated everything, I could see a good distance in all directions and the outskirts of nearby woods)

I remember when I was in Mexico a couple of years ago, and the sky was completely cloudless and no moon in the night, no background light pollution or anything - that was really awe inspiring. Sadly we never get those conditions here at our lattitudes.

That is one of the things I hate most about cities. Here after a certain time the sky turns this monotonous darkish gray-orange that isn't really dark enough to call 'night'. I grew up in a place with almost no air pollution and little light pollution, and you could really see the stars there. Kinda miss em.

I also had some kind of nostalgia when I was on 14 or such about childhood, etc...specially on Christmas, going to my grandfathers village, watching the sky with stars (giving a magic touch to it )....
Ahh, those were good days. Now I miss them

Ok, now I'm totally lost here.
Spamming in the VW is one thing, but the Tavern...
I'm starting to think that Ghost is just a big joke by our beloved mod squad.
Anyways, I'm happy that there are more people out there who like watching the night sky. I like watching it in the summer because it's warm outside and I don't have to worry about anything ((yay summer vacation)).

When the mind is at ease and the mental chatter fades away, you get a beautiful sense of 'presence'. It is amazing how calmness can exist simultaneously with a state of readiness and I welcome the sensation whenever I am lucky to have it.

There he was - the Moon; my companion through the night, a friend who is always there, a part of me.
He floated in the endless void, while I was walking down the empty streets... We have the same fate; both of us are alone in this world.
But I was blinded by his majestic appearance and the awe-inspiring stance. Kings would look like beggars in front of him...
