So is Kastore in SoD?
I remember seeing a (Russian, but w/e) stream of SoD's beta and one thing that struck me was the name of the hero being played - Kastore.
We all know this one guy.
But...
Was that just a custom name or is he actually a Dungeon hero and all my hopes of us having a Forge faction at any point are forever crushed?...

He is a dungeon hero and there never were any hopes for a Forge Faction. The latest Q&A further confirmed that the amount of factions in Ashan are pretty much standard and no new ones will be added. So we're stuck with haven, inferno, sylvan, dungeon, academy, necro, orcs, dwarves and nagas. I personally never wanted to see a forge but it sucks that the H3 swamp faction will not return

Kastore is in.
He's a Dungeon Tavern Hero. Can't recall if he's might or magic though.

Alas, we still have hydras and wyverns. (I can't stand hydras being downgraded to "merely" level 5 unit, but in H1 they were the "Dungeon"s top unit, weren't they? And in H3 ofc.)
...Unless Heroes VII is going to be Heroes IV all over again (as if H6 wasn't that already) with the Reckoning and whatnot.
If nothing else, he's finally canon in Heroes and not just Might and Magic. (but the point of his existence beyond a reference for veterans is dubious to me)

No, Heroes I & II have only 6 tiers, so they were tier 5 there.
Given that Ubi has stepped away from the 7-tier system, we'll just have to wait and see what the Hydra will be in the future.
Much of Heroes V Dungeon is non-canon nowadays and nothing has yet been said about hydras. So what their relative power is in the current canon has to be seen.

I have seen both 50SoD and SoP(urple) and 50SoP...
What makes Kastore famous? I've only seen him as a generic warlock in the early games? Did he plan to construct the Forge? Is he a prominent character in a Might and Magic game?

Thank you, I can see the excitement over seeing Kastore again. Interesting that the warlock Kastore I saw in H1 and H2 is another Kastore or that his appearance is very noncanonical.

If you hate the game so much why dont just leave this section of forum? What you doing is trolling really. About purplessnees, it did look too purple on screenshots but in game it is beautiful(dont know maybe they tweaked something).

Who was that aimed at now?
I kinda like purple, but even in-game, Dungeon is more color-coded than the Inferno. (alright, maybe not, since most of Dung-eon's ununpgraded units aren't color-coded, whereas Inferno's are)
