I just want to make sure I'm understanding this correctly. Any x% from stat scaling above 30% is a waste? If so I guess I'll spend my 3 skill points elsewhere (from light magic I-III). It's 31% with 39 magic power vs 32 magic defence.

It's pretty bad. It divides damage equally to all stacks, resulting in underwhelming damage. I much prefer the original ability.

Oh man so if there's 3 enemy stacks near me and the max scaling is 30% then it's only returning 10% to each stack?

Or at least I suspect that it does. The damage all stacks receive is way too low.

no I think it acts like this (memory from necro vs Tear Haven)
Lamasus attack and do 1000 dmg . 30% of that is taken and then Magic Defense of creatures is checked.300 dmg is taken from all but resduced by magic defense.

If that were the case then each unit should receive different damage but this does not happen.

Ok. Tested it and all units receive equal dmg but each gets 30% of the dmg of the attacker.

BTW my SO found out that Tear spells like Petrification and the like and Elementals are not affected by Magic Power. He was testing something in the hope to win me and made a hero with 1000 Magic Power by mistake and only Blood Spells benefit. Moreover Lightning Bolt is also bugged and doesn`t increase..Chain Lightning is ok though.
