HC Bulletin Board

this thread is for any real life events that you partake in. you can post reviews of the events you attended, pictures, etc.

tonight, i will be a part of this.

should be fun. i like training ops.

and, if i get to leave the training op(and not end up in some unknown cage), i'll post a review tomorrow.

Wait, you all have lives? I thought I was talking to advanced supercomputer bots, not real people

the problem is deciding what to wear. initially, i wanted to wear my black bdu pants and combat boots with a black shirt(but i didn't want to look like the swat team); my camo bdu pants, black sneakers and black shirt, but didn't want to come across as a criminal(i'm playing a hostage); a pair of work khaki's, nice shoes, and a polo shirt(but not wanting to **** up good clothes, should things get a little rough).

i could always opt for khaki pants, hawaiian shirt, and business casual shoes. that way, i could pass for off-duty cia(and maybe work my way into a briefing).

Screw everything, go naked like a true Spatan would
That ought to do the job.

EDIT: Don't really put much thought into what you're gonna wear. If a guy out there asks why you're wearing a stupid shirt, just tell him that that's the technique to confuse the opponent and get his mind off the important thing.
Dunno about you, but I think that's some sound advice.

the thing is, i'll probably only be able to participate in something like this once in my life, from the civilian side. so, it just stands to reason, that i want to do it right.

really, i just hope we're not held hostage in some room where i can't see anything. i know it's not going to be like military-training intensity, but i still want to have eyes-on, dammit. if i'm sitting there twiddling my thumbs until action, i'll be pissed.

well, i'm back. while it was fun, it was plain to see that these guys have not run any training ops in a mall setting before. cluster****, to say the least. you could see where they used prior training methods; but it was rather obvious exactly how those training methods failed them miserably, in a mall layout.

it was still fun to experience, though. they actually used little elbow-joint pipe bombs in the scenario, and they went off not 20 feet from where i was hidden after the shooting started.

i could watch a lot of the scenario from my hiding place. lol, my cousin and i weren't even found/rounded up with the rest of the hostages. instead, the feds got my cousin; and the soldiers got me(and they never would've gotten either one of us if we weren't exposing a piece of our face to watch the training). lol, they treated us like WE were the criminals. makes sense, since they had already evacuated the hostages that had been taken, after the firefight with the "terrorists".
