You don't have to get rid of him NOW, just don't kill him outright when you're done. The little bug can spy on everything we do right now, the last thing we want to do is give him a free trip back to his bosses.

You can tell that there is both more to the story itself,and that Den had some reason to gloss over the finer details, but nothing he has said so far feels like a lie.

What can we do while resting? I assume I need to roll a Perception check for my watch (we're doomed  ) and pick new spells and reset some of my abilities (Lay on Hands). Can I take a look at that journal Feather picked off the voidwalker? And don't forget we have our 'guest' to manage as well.

There will be a second day, and I shall post that in a few minutes. Just need to get in the writing mood instead of the number-crunching blackjack dealing mood (yaaaay, 9pm-5am job!)
As for what you do while resting: If you are damaged you heal your level+your con mod in hit points, you regain all expended spell slots, and you can re-memorize spells if you have that capability. Also, yes, roll a few perception checks each. And yes, go ahead and do your things with the void walker! In fact...
