Some questions

Hello Heroes Community; I'm relatively new to the Heroes boards and was wondering if some of you more experienced heroes fans could help me with some questions.

1. There was a very fatal bug in Heroes Of Might And Magic III where if your primary skill went over 99 the skill would be reset to zero. You can find more info about this
here   http://heroescommunity.com/viewthread.php3?TID=17928
Do you guys know if there was any fix for this in WOG; ERA II or VCMI.
Or if any other mods fixed this. This issue has plagued my Heroes III experience for so long now.

2. Is it possible to play ERA II or WOG without all the extra features and with the SOD campaign restored. (I'm not criticizing the mods and their extra features or the mod campaigns, as those are very cool additions to Heroes!) I'm just more used to the original game (how it used to be), and I'm wondering if this is something is possible.

3. Is there a mod for Heroes III that allows your Hero to carry unlimited artifacts?

Thank you for taking the time to read this and respond!

1) great timing, I just released a mod for Era yesterday in russian forums, which fixes your issue. Many people send me mails concerning this bug in my maps so this mod will save me a lot of time.

Overflow_Fix (102 kb)

(from readme.txt)
Overflow_Fix
Mod for Era.
Author: Valery

This mod will allow to avoid two of most annoying bugs in H3: stats overflow and creatures experience overflow.

An army slot will be automatically (when you open hero screen) set to rank 10 if the program detects negative experience, then you will receive a confirming message.

You will also be able to switch stats values if any of them is higher than 110. Every primary skill can be decreased until 110, then the value stored can be used to increase another primary skill, up to 125 value.

This mod IS NOT a portable arcane tower and will not allow major cheating by switching your primary stats values as you enjoy. They can be manipulated only within the 110-125 range.

If you want to use this mod with other mods prohibiting external mods (which have "load only these scripts.txt" file in Data/s folder), open the text file, add inside mod erm ID (Overflow_fix.erm), then save. If reloading a save, press F12 to activate new erm configuration.

The mod can be activated/deactivated at any time during the game.

2) Yes, SoD mod, check Era mods thread.

3) Only VCMI I think, but not sure. Wog/Era have same limitations as RoE/SoD.

You are welcome.

The problem with "sod" mod is that late Era versions have a built-in plugin (display primary skills up to 125) which will conflict with same option from sod mod, so I will certainly have to rebuild it then add new information to readme.txt.

Give me a few days and I will post it here.

Wow, thank you very much, Sal! That is terrific that you would take up your time to work on this. It is just so much appreciated. I also replied to your posting on the 60 mods thread, where you said you would work on this. Thanks so much!!
