Can someone explain me why some creatures have magic schools and how that affects gameplay?

The fact that only heroes with the proper magic schools can use them should give enough differentiation between decks.

To be exact.. it shows what source of damage they do, and this affects other efects. For example Greater elementals have "ele." heal. if they are attacked by units with that element, they are not damaged but healed. Creatures with "ele." ward on the other hand are protected from such creatures. Other spells, cards and abilities work with this attribute aswell. Like one water spell that gives frozen touch to all water creatures.

I think he means that all dark users are ONLY usnig crippling and nothing else from dark....

Well I'm trying to get back into the game but I got no clue what the current meta's all about. But judging from those cards I'd say Necro is heavily focused on cripple tactics. I wanted to check some decks on mmdocking but nothing seems to work there.

TBH, I was surprised yesterday to receive a twitch notification from CuCu, streaming the new patch - the server however did not go up at all on planned date so no stream.
I did not think this game would survive much longer - but a big shout out to all the old players who are still trolling

Some good changes too. Though half a year too late. Many of those should have been obvious from the design stage, like al betyl ghoul that clearly had less stat points than crusader commander. Or those utterly crappy necro cards in general.
All the same, I'd happily restart the game if I could spare the time. Sadly I don't.

Same here
I still log-in sometimes, but I lack the fire anymore. I love the game, but can't find a reason to play it

Everybody is busy with something, I am busy with university right now and there is just so many games/expansions/patches being released in April.
Starcraft 2 expansion beta, Age of Wonders 3 expansion, Diablo 3 patch, a ton of movies, series etc. I don't have time to grind cards mate. 
But yeah, as Elvin said these changes are quite nice but very late, I've stopped playing this one year ago(a little bit more than that), and even though the game is probably in better state than before I just can be bothered to come back now when all of my friends have stopped playing nor I enjoy it as much.

Actually with general life :-D and the troubles that come with it.
New Job, family matters, relations... you know. And I'm working on our local HoMaM page in the spare time. I really must at least log into skype and have a chat ;-).

Well actually, I could use a change from all this boredom and I'd probably come back. It's just that atm I have some... issues, and I can't. But I'll definitely give it a try later on, or at least I hope so. Maybe another faction expansion, like the Dungeon we've been anticipating, will come out in the meanwhile.

Afaik, they have said that next faction like Dungeon won't be out soon(for at least 2 years). I think that they have said that around the half of 2014 or something like that, so don't get your hopes up.
