How about Underwater Necropolis?
Background "sky" already looks like water with some meduses in it.
Just replace graves on background with some corals and old chesses.
In VCMI 32-bit water moving effect can be added.

I have made some modifications so it looks more like Void Necropolis and less like Sunken Necropolis. I also fixed the fact that the hill and mountains behind looked "doubled"

Thanks, I didn't see the whole underwater thing much, but this looks definitely better than what I initially made, and I really like those stars
Main post updated.
As I tweaked the buildings according to previous background, back to day one.
Edit: After more thinking and more trying, also making comparison with original townscreens, I've reached to the conclusion it should be brighter, like this:

Edit 3: I've received a few PMs from people who liked "Sunken Necropolis" asking me to share the material. Unfortunately, it seems I didn't backup the buildings, but at least here is the background:
I don't mind if you share as long as you give me credit for my work.

Looks like contract is too high. Dwellings look like on puzzle map. I think it's better to not change contract that much

Big thanks. I likely will use it for private purposes, but if want to share i'll of cause write you.
PS Don't you remember how you got Necro dwellings so blue for Sunken version? You played with saturation/brightness/contract?
EDITED: I set in Paint.NET brightness to -44 for buildings graphics, and they have matched Sunken Necropolis background.

Currently I am completely reworking everything, don't know when I will post update though.
