I Want To Report Mod: Corribus

I would like to report Corribus for power-tripping and banning me on the basis of supressing my opinion. Now, I read the Code of Conduct and reviewed it multiple times and I don't see which of the laws I broke. The only arguable points I can think of are Sexism and Thread Killing but I didn't even breach those.
- thread killing. My post was related to the topic.
- sexism. I never said anything discriminatory. If I did, kindly point that out.

To Corribus: I've had multiple attempts to try to understand you through messaging and that was before I made my recent posts because I knew, unless this thing gets resolved, I'll be walking on eggshells. Unfortunately, you ignored me. I'm still open to that. Please help me understand why you do what you do. I'm still open to the idea that you're being fair, just misunderstood. Now, if you'll ignore this, like you always do, I'll be inclined to believe that you weren't fair as a mod. I don't think you banned me because you were doing your job seeing that you banned me on the H7 forum, a place that is not your area. To top that, the message that I posted was related to the topic and everyone else were posting somewhat in the same topic as mine.

Now, I know I'm gonna get in trouble for creating a second account and I'm willing to accept that. I just want this thing resolved before anything else. To other mods, please understand me. I know you guys are fair since you have understood me in the past.
This is just not for me. I still am under the impression that Corribus is reprimanding and banning people on the basis of opposing opinions. What I hate the most is unfairness and I don't want others to experience what I'm experiencing with him.

apparently, this forum cares about gender. I remembered the huge uproar when people were digging through the pdf file as there wasn't a female unit (Justicars were the last found but they weren't found yet).

So yeah, if the situation doesn't favor females = uproar
if it does = no one cares about gender
double-standard

Also, while there were female druids, a vast majority of the druids were male. Majority should represent, not minority.
I've always hated gender-bending. It shows that the creators cares about gender, and that's after Ubi-Nox saying they don't care about gender. Druids are male in almost all (if not all) mainstream games. Making them female is just adhering to feminist quota.

I think it'd be nice if no one could be banned from discussing a specific topic... or if it was added to the CoC at least, so it doesn't look so bad.

Edit:
E.g. an update stating something along the lines of the CoC are only guidelines and do not cover everything and moderators are free to make up their own rules as they see fit or something like that.

1. You haven't been banned. Moderators do not have that power.

2. I wasn't the moderator who applied the 30 day silence. The post you refer to wasn't even in my forum. So, you're not even "reporting" the right person, not that it really makes any difference.

3. Creating multiple accounts is about as against the rules as you can get at HC. If you continue posting under this account, you will continue to incur penalties until your primary account has infinite flood protect. Then you will have no ability to post in this forum at all.

EDIT:

By the way, since you asked, the part of the CoC that you violated in the OSM, which isn't related to the post above, is:

Quote:
6) NO provocation or aggravation.
Provocation is unfriendly behavior that causes anger or resentment from others. Aggravation is causing, continuing or increasing irritation or trouble. This includes being a detriment to the peacekeeping of the forums.
Each member is solely responsible for their own conduct - no amount of provocation or aggravation from someone else will justify the action of breaking the rules. Instead of responding to a member who has offended you, alert a moderator about this situation and let them deal with it, keeping you out of trouble.

I have bolded the especially pertinent clause. Your repeated posts and threads on the same topic, particularly in forums in which the topic doesn't belong, have attracted no end of complaints by other members. You were asked multiple times to stop posting threads on this topic as a result of these actions. Yet you keep opening them.

To be clear, the topic itself is not a forbidden topic. Most of the members here are mature enough to discuss it in a respectful manner and I would welcome a thread in the OSM about gender issues. You have not shown that you are capable of participating in such a discussion without posting overtly sexist and misogynistic material that elicits strong negative reactions from other members.

If you establish yourself as a strong community member by posting on other topics in a manner that is consistent with the CoC, then I may reconsider my stance about allowing you to open a thread on this topic. Until then, I will continue to close threads designed solely to irritate other members and will penalize you for provocation.

Finally, being silenced does not prevent you from using the HCM function and certainly does not entitle you to create new accounts so you can grandstand here or otherwise foment further trouble. If you wish to discuss your silencing or your penalty while your posting privileges are temporarily suspended, you may do so with me, a different moderator, or the system administrator, using the HCM system.

And JE, on the subject of your punishment... you have been given multiple warnings and chances over the last year, but your unwillingness to learn or listen to them makes any one of them punishing you not only acceptable, but expected. This thread is just a culmination of this problem.

If you want to truly report or confront a mod, the HCM and e-mail tools are there for a reason. Talk to a mod or to Val, don't make a thread complaining about it.

I'm not siding with JEmo, but this is a questionable approach. This is the first thing you should do, but if it doesn't produce a satisfactory resolution, then you should go public. Mods sometimes make mistakes, and that shouldn't be kept behind closed doors.

The Post that Got Me Banned

I am the moderator who silenced you.  You have been warned repeatedly about inflammatory posting.  You exceeded the patience of the moderators who have been more than fair to you.  You decided to ignore the numerous warnings to keep pushing your agenda, despite knowing fully well what the ramifications of doing so would be.  You have nobody to blame for the state of things but yourself.

I did not silence you because I am on a power-trip or desire to suppress your opinions.  First, I do not feel any sense of power from being a moderator here.  I volunteer my time to help maintain order in the forum and ensure it is a great place for fans of the Heroes of Might & Magic series to discuss various topics.  Secondly, I do not desire to suppress anyone's opinions.  When a poster is warned multiple times for provoking comments, however, I will take action.  You violated the Codes of Conduct for provocation twice in one day.  Clearly, penalties were not enough to discourage you from your behavior and I felt silencing was appropriate.  I am not doing this to spite you.  As I mentioned in my post, I gave you a month to take a step back and reflect upon your situation in hopes that you would understand why you were being punished and grow from the experience.  Unfortunately, like the repeated moderator warnings, my advice was ignored and here we are.

I support the actions taken by the moderators. JeremiahEmo was talked to extensively and warned repeatedly about turning various topics into anti-female discussion (which is different from constructively discussing gender differences or gender issues in an appropriate thread). This behaviour provokes unnecessary conflict, unfairly upsets other members, and is detrimental to the peacekeeping on the forums and thus we will not tolerate it.

Anyone who wishes to discuss things with JeremiahEmo should do so directly via HCM. Anyone who disagrees with our general actions can discuss this directly with us or constructively in an appropriate thread.

Thread cleaned of messages that should be private and sarcasm and closed.
