heroes 3 map skin (minimap)
Hi guys 
Im wandering why there is no tread like "mapmakers". Shud be nice if there is, to share ideas, tricks and etc. I mean esp for heroes 3 - timeless game hah 
Anyway, there is "mapheaven", shud work for my idea 
This offer is esp for h3 mapmakers!
If anybody plan to make serious map and needs of nice minimap, just sent request to me.
I really havent time for map creating but I want to be little useful for those guys - mapmakers
1. You need be serious and plan to make serious map
2. send me information about your map: h3 ver., size, prefer kind of terrain, and most imp - minimap design (in example: big black dragon...etc)
3. prefer pics to fill the bugs after pictures converting (you know after converting there is many many graphics bugs and we need to fill in whole map, this is very hard and take a time)
OK I have already suitable minimap (still unfinished) and someone maybe like for his new project

Era automatically has this tool (and wog had it when applying the Grayface patch). But there is big backside, most of obstacles from editor will screw your nice design. I tried by the past and the map was externally nice but internally monotonous because I had to always check which obstacle to put in or not.

Yes Valery, thats I mean, this will be my job 
There is some specifically details, especially with full black color, but I have already exp with this and I can do it most passable as possible without destroying main scenery.
If you want some nice skin by your idea, just write me

Unluckily, there are some problems with this feature, one of which you are showing in the Screenshots above :
-the coloring tends to be off
-too much black and sand
-the minimal will be spoiled most likely
Especially the large areas of black are a problem in SoD as even using WoG Editor, the map crashes after 12 monolith two ways.
Up to today I have seen only one map which succeeded in drawing beautiful minimap without spoiling it, "Way Home". The trick is to set heroes, dwellings and towns in the borderlines between two areas, so it is not as visible. I tried this in ~Metataxer's Revenge~, but found out it is nearly impossible without planning everything in advance! So I took a different approach :Instead of making towns only one for big (and thus hard to select on the world map), I made them into bigger, symmetrical figures resembling stars or something like that. This also quite unlocks 8 new colors in which you can draw in your map.

Yes, "Way Home" is really beautiful
There is no reason to crash because of "graphic bugs". Game crash when some object is overlap. But these are different things definitely.
Anyway, the idea was bad cos there is no serious mapmaker who lets anybody to makes any changes in his map. I forgot about that

Thanks for the tip. I already did that yesterday. Sent a message to both of his mail accounts and a message pop up that these no longer exist. Guess he just finished his Heroes part of life story.
