The visuals are very good but the Internetz feedback so far seems to be that this is a Ubified ("streamlined" in an idiotic way) version of Fallen Enchantress. The latter failed to impress me, I doubt that the new thing will succeed, especially if it's worse.

fallen enchantress / legendary heroes is a strategy game - you manage an empire against other empires. although sorcerer king is also a strategy game, it plays more like an rpg - you manage parties on a quest to save the world.

I heard the content is not as rich. OTOH, the game could be much more stable (FE is notoriously unstable and unscalable).

I bought the game and played a fee hours now. I like it a lot! But i got the feeling im soooooo bad.
Doomsday bar is filled by more then a half already, the SK already recruited multiple alliances while my only alliance is with the dwarves. I can't seem to find any crystals to recruit stronger units and now my best are Riders/sentinels (if i meet a strong enemy they still get one shot). I got a dwarf hero who sweeps trough entire armies so thats nice  . I'm not so certain what to do now....my home cities get constantly attacked and there are multiple quests to do, on the other hand, treasures everywhere! It's tough to make decisions 😂
