@ blizz: i value other animal life over human, as a general rule(pets who act like human snows are exempt from that rule). humans are allowed to try out for an improved place on my chart on a case-by-case basis, though. nobody can say that I'M exclusionary. 
now, when it comes to animals i eat, well, that's slightly different. i have no issues with eating animals. i've killed animals myself in order to eat them.
but if i were sitting in the emergency room at a hospital, and a deer with 2 broken legs wandered in, i would certainly NOT be inclined to kill/eat it. because obviously, that deer was something special. if only a wanderer, it wandered into what should have been the right place. it's not like a deer can read the difference between "veternary hospital" and "people hospital". 
even if it is only coincidence, it is one that should have been acted upon with special circumstances. not saying they should have operated on it there(due to health reasons), but it should have been tranq'd and taken someplace where it could be mended(and by that i mean, kept alive and in comfort for the rest of it's semi-natural life).
it was a chance for humanity to show that it cares for wildlife during special occurences, just how wildlife occasionally cares for humanity in special occurences. it was a special situation, and it should have been treated with respect, instead of all-too-common thoughtless human violence. how they reacted to that deer, is how a cave man would have reacted to that deer. and that's just another instance of modern "i'm sooooo snowing special and advanced" society, looking very much like it's not-so-distant ancestors.
but of course, i didn't read the article, so maybe they thought they couldn't save it due to trauma, blood loss, or infection. that would spare them my wishes of a sinkhole opening up and swallowing that hospital whole.

That’s so sad. I can’t imagine how someone can shoot an animal, especially a deer with two broken legs. Instead of helping, calling a veterinary, they shot it. It’s horrible. How we can talk about humanity when people do not respect the animals that live in the same community with them. This story reminded me of a situation I had with my grandfather. He is an old man and last year he fell down on the street and broke his leg. Someone called the ambulance, the ambulance took him to the hospital but no one paid attention to him because he had no insurance. So, I found a good doctor on [url=https://www.patientscommunity.org/]patientscommunity.org[/url] and I took my grandpa to another hospital. The situation was similar to this one with the deer.

Meanwhile, hundreds of millions of chickens are going to starve to death from supply chain disruption from the coronavirus.
But for **** sake who cares, a deer with two broken legs barged into a hospital and was put down. Somebody hire John Wick to personally hunt down and murder every last staff member.

I think deer need to be held accountable for their own actions. When is the last time you saw a human with two broken legs walk into a deer hospital and receive treatment? Never, because the deer doctors don't care about people. We're just food on a plate to them.
