The *true* Heroes Online
I have going on and writing articles about Heroes Online on a certain site. However, there is an issue that has been going on for weeks.
And it is this. From what I have learned, this is the Heroes Online before it received the "transformation", looking more in Heroes VI and VII style.
So, is there any reason why it had disappeared, only to form the today's Heroes Online? What were the experiences about it? And judging from posts of other users on HC (like this one), sounds like it was based from Heroes III (considering the Fortress faction had appeared).
Also, what about this? Is it the same MMO or something separate?
I just think, as a fan, I should at least know the past of Might & Magic franchise, including these MMO-s. Which seem to be forgotten, since there is very few information about it.

The first game was a China exclusive. From what I know it was an MMO loosely inspired by Heroes III (especially in terms of lineups.) It has nothing to do with the second game, except for the franchise.

It was "Heroes of Might and Magic Online", not "Heroes Online" - two different games. The first one was Chinese, done by TQ Digital (started as far as in 2004 or mayby even earlier) and was shut down in same time, when Ubisoft's Heroes Online came to exist.
It had mix of HoMM3 and HoMM5 graphics (and much of original works) but was set in HoMM3 continent of Antagarich and had H3's line-ups. Well without Conflux but instead game added town from Chinese mythology. Oh, and it was heavy P2Win oriented with large item shop (even more then Heroes Online).
The game even had English beta client but IIRC it was against agreement with Ubisoft and was eventually cancelled.
EDIT:
Quote: We are deeply regretful to inform you that the Heroes of Might and Magic Online game service will be suspended indefinitely at 12:00 GMT+8 on 20th July, 2012. The TQ team greatly appreciates all the support you have given Heroes of Might and Magic Online since its release. We have enjoyed the great community
Here you have much more screenshots and concept arts.

That is early concept from Heroes Online before game got today's art style.

I know It's been some time. But I'm really curious. Does anybody still have game files of this game? I have some of them, but they are not complete sadly.
