Steam has stolen enough of my money!

It is time to reap what I sowed.

I am a huge sucker for Steam deals. I can not seem to resist the 95% off label. This has lead to some......questionable purchases.

Today a straw broke my proverbial camel's back, while scrolling through my Steam list to install X-Com I started realizing how large my library has become. I started thinking about how I wasted 2$ on this or that and never played them or even remembered they existed. I have not one, not two, but three point and click adventures. I have never played a point and click adventure in my life and lord knows why I bought those.

NO MORE!

I am going to receive every bit of enjoyment out of these game that I can, make them earn their keep. I am creating this record of my mission to keep me true to it, for without doing so I would surely falter. This is in no way a list of recommendations, quite the opposite.

So far the rules I have laid out for myself are as follows:
    1. I shall go into each game completely blind, never looking the game up or trying to deduce how others feel about it.
    2. I shall pick the games at random, while alphabetically going down the list is appealing it would lead to me playing whole game series in a row without a break. I feel like this would skew my opinion on certain games.
    3. I shall play each game for a minimum of 3 hours, for fair judgement's sake.

I have randomly chosen a game to start with and am downloading it tonight.

Two Worlds: Epic Edition.

Wish me luck (I may need it).

Nice initiative, though I for one don't get the appeal of Steam sales.

I loved Two Worlds. At its release, there was the developers official forum somewhere, I got access then started to mod the game (added one island to it) while I got direct help from the designer. So I was posting screens from my work, then the guy was telling me step by step, each day, how to succeed. Well, I never managed to build it entirely because their editor was not finished, but it was fun as it lasted.

Just saying this because it sounds so awesome today, where players and developers only hate each other.

This happens with Ubiroes and probably other Ubi games but I wouldn't generalize. Many games on the market have good gamers-devs relations, Triumph with AoW3, CD Project with Witcher 3, Capcom with RE HD for what I could witness in example but I bet this goes for any game that doesn't mock its fanbase.

That is nice to hear. I was just saying that because the game was so buggy and I am unsure if it is not now.

Was it? I remember no bugs, the only flaw it had was that monsters speed was inferior to player's in RUN mode, so it was too easy to shot one, run then come back. After a patch addressing that problem, the game was flawless IMO.
