Let's catch all the references in descriptions
On this page you can find all artifacts from Heroes of Might and Magic 2 with the text printed upon picking them up. artifacts
Heroes3 is fair game, too, but I haven't found a website with descriptions yet.
How many references to books, movies and other forms of culture can we find ?
Everhot Lava Rock - Quest for Fire
Armored Gauntlets - the Black Knight fight from Monty Python's Holy Grail.
Ankh - in case it wasn't obvious, it's a symbol from Egyptian culture.
Witch's Hut - chicken legs, immortality etc clearly point to Baba Yaga.
