Giant Orc

Hi to everybody.
This is my first thread, or precisely, officially request for help

I am working on XXL map and intent to have few new creatures in it.
Regarding whole storyline, main hero, ect. i  need Big Drak (Stronghold/Dungeon) creature, instead Orc and Cyclops, also Medusas and Evil Eyes.
I found Giant Orc (Orc Giant) is perfect solution for that role.
Even, found nice picture for him, between Valery's new creatures.



That big axe, just perfect for a massive damage
But, unfortunately, it's not shooter.
I think that it will be fine to have one 5th level shooter, who would hits  group of enemies units (like leches do, but without poisoned gas ) in one shoot.

For me, right now, it is mission impossible to convert it from hitter to shooter, but with your help, maybe ...

I did some  pictures analysis of its picture's package and found in Def Preview that there is a big gap between two successive frames of  attacking movement.

This are pictures 7 and 8 from Attack Straight.





Of course it is regarding hit's intense.

Suppose, that's  not of big importance. Just notice.

Yeah, this emphasize the force of hit, looks ok in game.

For shooter, first step:

Open the def in def preview. You should see the cian background and the shadow.




Now, click on both upper right buttons, to hide both background and shadow:



Now click on extract pics in some folder you previously created on desktop.




Now you have all pics in that folder, without shadow.  Notice that in their names I included the action (move, death, defend, attack etc)

In Def Editor now, you must repack all pics back, but now you will clone attack frames in shooting columns, so now creature can also shoot. You will also have to add shadows again, for all frames. Someone please explain him these last steps.

It's my thread so,  suppose it's ok to show it to the audience.



I was wandering for a long time why there is no  some darkness, black sort of behemoth in the game.
It's just match my intention for that dark barbarian army.



And one question - on that cloned pictures in shooting folder, does Axe should be removed from his hand?
How will i get axe for shooting animation (flying over batlefield)?

He does not have shooting weapon, so some projectile will go from his axe. That needs script later. Thats the joy of spending hours to find the creature we want, shooter or not, walker or flier, one hex or two hexes. You have 3 packs with about 1000 creatures for that
