HOMM5 Hero Specializations

This may have been definitively settled long ago, but I'm just returning to the game after years way.

When editing the hero files in the data.pak, is there any way to assign more than one specialization to a hero? Simply adding a second <SPECIALIZATION>...</specialization> line to the file seems to be ignored by the game (it only gives the hero the specialization listed in the first line). Is there a work-round? Or can I edit the specializations themselves or are they embedded in the game mechanics?

Thanks!

Your post is what I'm looking for. However, many places I do not know very well. Can I contact you separately for further exchanges?

Best regards
