Anyone else have a similar problem with VCMI?
After some fiddling with the files I made VCMI work but the the game is quite buggy, the movement is laggy, when I go to the castle it insta-crashes, the waiting takes a lot longer than expected and so on and so forth. When I look at someone else's VCMI playthrough the game for them works just fine. What could I have missed out if it keeps getting this buggy?

Someone report that game was laggy, because he block vcmi server in firewall settings. It was wrong.

But after all that where should I get the essential files of VCMI from so I could have a different menu screen?

Alright so the game still doesen't go smoothly. The animations of movement and building are still rather buggy while your hero doesen't move as fast as you make them to but at least I can access for now
