And you meet a dog again, when you are dead.
Maybe ghosts can't tell you, because you don't understand phenomenon. Why? The Bible said heaven or paradise.

I'm feeling you bro. My dog died suddenly last year, she was not a picture of health, but there were no clear signs it might've happened. It just... happened and devastated me and my whole family.

I'm sorry to hear that, nothing can replace a loving pet.

Exactly. My condolences.

A few months ago, I found a very small kitten with an infected eye on my door step, she was surely about to die, I took her to the shelter, they said she needed to have shots for five days and then, an eye surgery, I took her to the shelter for five days, while feeding her in my bedroomís bathroom. (So my own cats dont get infected.) After a few shots, she starting hopping around, jumping on the bed, sleeping between my neck and jaw, thatís how small she was. I decided to have the surgery in a private clinic, better conditions, I was feeling great now that I saved her and she was all lively again. Then the day of the surgery came, she survived the operation but could not wake from the anesthesia. And although it has been months, something still hits me in the chest when I think of her face, and how she cried for help on my doorstep. Death is horrible.

Sorry to hear. Death of loved ones is never easy. What's worse, is that it can be so brutally undignified. The heartlessness in which death can act on the living is one of the harshest realities to cope with.
