As far as I know, HC has no internal database. You gotta work with links.

Well, for maps the best site around is maps4heroes.com
Up since 2010 or so, never failed or went offline, thousands of downloads every month, possibility to discuss maps, be notified by email when someone rates your map and so. What ask more.
