Might & Magic: Chess Royale
New (Yet another) mobile game set in Might and Magic Ubiverse!
"Chess Royale pulls heroes from the popular Might & Magic universe, and players can combine units or use heroes to win each match. Like most autobattlers, all heroes have their own unique abilities, as well as factions. It seems players will draft heroes, set up a chess board, and play one-on-one battles with different players in the 100 player pool until one player is the last standing."

I would like it if the combat was turn based.
I have some strange anxiety for making quick decisions and ticking time showing you how SLOW you are is not helping at all 
So pass for me.
PS: but all those assets of all units in one place... hmm *modinggasm* =o)

Maybe it's just me, but it seems to be way too simple to hold my interest for long (but maybe that is the idea).
As far as units go, there indeed is only a handful. For anyone that is interested in finding out which, without having to install the game - there are currently 6 factions with 5 possible levels of units. Note that fortress has 6 units and Dungeon only 3 at this point. Models used seem to be straight from Heroes 7.

I like this game. Synergies are really cool.
Would like to have same feelings about Heroes VII =(

Game's actually really enjoyable. Been playing it every day. The changing spells is a massive increase in replayabilty, I am so glad it's a feature. Had some crazy games where there was a Tidal Wave spell that could deal some massive damage to all of the board, as soon as it became available I maxed it to 3 and had an army that increased spell damage. Whole boards would get wiped instantly because they positioned in the back row where the spell dealt increased damage
But my main goal most of the time is getting Necro 3 and Dungeon 3, it's stupidly strong. Synergies are great and you get a ton of extra creatures. Combined with the right spells it's almost unbeatable.

GENERAL
• Slightly extended the timer during the Preparation Phase.
• Adjusted the amount of Trophies required for each Rank. You will progress faster.
Please continue to share feedback about your general experience. We are always keen on updating the game's rhythm to strike the perfect balance between speed and tactical management.
SYNERGIES
• Fortress - Increased Gold income chance: 10% -> 20%
• Stronghold - Increased Damage Buff: 80% -> 100%
• Warrior Lv. 1 - Increased Damage Buff: 10%-40% -> 20%-50%
• Spirit Lv. 2 - Decreased Armor Debuff: 3-6 -> 3-5
SPELLS
• The price of Spells has been decreased: 3-6-9 Gold -> 2-4-6 Gold.

With latest update, we finally get some heroes.
It seems game still needs way more content, but at least now there are things to work for and combine.
Downside - the standard mobile game gems and gold purchases are introduced too, though at this point to me it seems they are mostly to speed up thing for people wishing to play in higher echelons. (pay to win for competitive folk)
For casual collector type players like me, ill stick with free options

The new games are coming almost every day that sometimes you even forget to follow them.
