Updates on 28 March 2020: After some feedback from my fellows using this mod, I have decided to change the behavior to "always split a single unit to empty slots. Only if the hero has last stand, it will split 2 units"

(For some weird reason Google Drive keeps trying to show it as a zip file, but you should download the whole h5u file and place it in your UserMODs folder.)
This mod gives all heroes a new ability called "Quick Split", that splits a single unit from the 1st slot to all your remaining empty slots. Only if the hero has last stand, it will split 2 units into a slot.
It is quite convenient to use, just press C when you have a hero, click on the ability, and you are set within a second, much faster than any alternatives so far.
Can only be used in single player mode.
