It's description, when who is played, he/she knows what map tells.. Another reason description can't fit longer text.. So I chose simple description is always the same, but different map variations..
Earlier I made my map variations, now's legendary, elite and rare HoMM game variations.. Everyone three classes.. Elite is still missing..
Try it Cult, if you find your variations or you know about WoG 3.58, Sal
And players are looking for Necro Land and WoG 3.58 surely.. Those maps are rare, my view..

yeah, as I said zero sense.
Map description is the about the story of your map. It should contain a quick view of the occurring action, who fights, where, when, for what.
Technical details should be in a readme.txt, along with the map.
If in description the player reads "Decent Era", "Wog 3.58", "HoMM game variations" and "8mm/6lm mix by Russel (ver.2)", the first reaction will be "I don't have this version of the game, who the f is this Russel/do I need WoG 358, next".
I mean, just put together some text about some fiction, with a personal touch, like:
"Twenty years ago, following numerous border skirmishes along the western shore, eight fierce heroes fought for the ultimate reward, princess Galateea's skinny-flat-breasted-muff.
Who will prevail? Pick wisely!"
Change with such description then see ratings climb. You're welcome.

A good idea.. Only I add on notepad/text with map link and who is author, etc But I don't wait for ranking..

Russel made template.. It's random map.. And then I changed something, I added on Aculis and your.. Then I did variations.. And name came Cult, because you can play with Thant, etc Cult hmm find so many..

Remember 18 November... on this date in 2005 this account came to be. I had others before it but still this one I used the most ... From 11 to 28 years old. My HC experience continues.

I started Feb 2012.. Point 11 years! Think about you started 11 aged, and I tried 11 years, but you've lead.. and later on I died, you take the world record, depend on Ubisoft or the world is living yet..
