STARTED PLAYING H5 AGAIN!
Hello everyone!
I have recently returned back to play Heroes 5 after playing a lot of Heroes 3, 4 and 6.
I love heroes 5 and it is still my favorite game but I dont like the AI of heroes 5 since it is too easy for me and the RMG maps are way too boring because the "generate a random map" button in heroes 5 always makes the same boring maps and it is not fun anymore since I have played a lot of generated maps.
I need help and advice if any of you know anything out there.
I have come around a mod called NHF (New heroes framwork) The mod adds a lot of new heroes to the game and so far I like the mod.

I wanted to play this mod with quantamas ai mod to make the ai better and much more challanging but I then realized quantamas ai mod is not compatible with NHF mod.
I also want to play a on a fun map but I have played through all of the standard heroes 5 maps (they were quite fun actually) and I have played countless of Random map generetor maps so I dont want to generate a new map because it is to boring and the same ect.
Sorry if I am making you a bit confussed but my questions are as follows:
Is there an AI mod or anything that can make the AI challanging (I know about quantamas AI mod but as I said it is not compatible with NHF mod unless I did something wrong)
And finally:
Is there anything I can do or find a map or maps that I can play without it being the exact same layout of the random generator map.
NOTE: I want a map where you get to choose your own town and hero as usual and the main obective is "Defeat all" not a scenario or scripted map whos town and hero is choosen for you.
When I play heroes of might and magic 3 there are so many fun maps to choose from the game and also find on the internet, they are long and challening and I make like a big army which is fun and my hero and the computers reach like 99 attack, 99 defense, ects. Why cant I experince the same with heroes 5?
EDIT: I have downloaded quantamas ai mod (latest version) and played some maps with it. The issue I have with the mod is that the ai is way to easy because it does not cheat. I can have a fully grown army and the ai can have the same but some of the tier 7 and 6 units are not upgraded. Also the ai does not play aggressive, overall the ai is just not powerful enough! I have played the mod heroes 5.5 and I dont like some of the new changes but I love the ai on that mod, I know it uses quantamas ai but its another version of it I think. How can I get the ai mod that heroes 5.5 uses? The ai in heroes 5.5 is extremely powerful and unfair, I LOVE THAT, I really want to play against that ai but only the ai not the other stuff that heroes 5.5 adds.
Apparently HoMM 5.5 uses H5_AIProcess31j.exe from Quantomas' ToE AI mod. Where can I find this Ai, H5_AIProcess31j.exe. and not the noncheating ai.
I have looked everywhere with no luck unfortantly. if anyone know how to find the ai from HoMM 5.5, please let me know!

Why not heroes 5.5? It is compatible with Quantamas AI (even though I consider many of their changes like restricting magic by hero classes very boring)

MH55 is a fantastic mod to try out.
If you don't want your 3.1 to be altered too much, Quantomas AI is mandatory, I would say too bad for NHF if not compatible.
I also recommend Xuxo's mod for textures, makes it feel closer to the fairytale feel the old games have.

I have actuallly played heroes 5.5 and it was fun at the beginning but as you stated they changed a LOT, like I mean A LOT of changes and I did not like some of those changes so thats why I got back at playing version 3.1

Yes I feel like NHF is good but maybe I should remove it because most great mods should also be compatible with quantamas AI mod since it only changes the AI.
What about maps, do you have any suggestions there? a fun interesting map thats all about building large armies and defeating challanging enemy AI.

About custom maps... It's been a very long time. I always keep fond memories of Marrkur's maps.

Thank you for the tip about the mod (GEM RED) it really makes the game feel more fairytale like.
I also checked out the maps of Marrkur, very intresting maps, I played through one and it was fun however I played his map on the regular AI of heroes 5 and not quantamas Ai because it would always say script error and the game got slow, maybe his maps were not intended to be played with quantamas AI?
