Ok
Do you know Lexiav's the best wizard opinion? His choose strongest hero is Dracon, it after Solmyr and Astral. The worst heroes are Theodorus and Serena.
1. Dracon
2.-3. Solymr, Astral
4.-6. Daremyth, Cyra, Aine
7. Halon
8.-9. Theodorus, Serena
When Dracon hasn't enabled, only campaigns and standard maps. So Solymr is the best hero to you, NimoStar

Solmyr's okay. Not a big fan though because he's incosistent and heavily dependent on the map offering wells and such. Whenever you have to backtrack to restore mana, he becomes slow. He suffers from typical wizard problems aka being constantly offered the worst secondary skills in the game (click), starts with meh sorcery, and... come on, weight 2 on Logistics? ugh.
Alchemist wouldn't be half as bad if he didn't have weight 10 on Learning.

I find that highly debatable. The Cleric Sanya is an exact copy, Castle having one less MG to take use from Wisdom - Serena comes at least with lots of Gremlins.
Then there is the unfortunate Witch class. True, only Tiva is an Eagle Eye specialist and then she starts with STONE SKIN, wow, but imagine the choices for her next level-ups: Wisdom is not really the kicker skill. But in truth, it's mostly everyone else of the Witches who has the problem that they will be offered Eagle Eye as a NEW skill, inevitably.
Playing Fortress with Witches is fun.

I make 8 Mighty Kings (WoG/ERA) map, ok I kept their EE, when many heroes got a big change, but their EE saved, thus map hasn't spells, their mage guilds are empty, except for Tomes are in map guarded by Dracoliches, but 'new WoG/ERA artifact option' can replace them. Then spells aren't available. So their form represent being in map. But I don't think you like or understand the game! Ok we can look together, and then you don't need say anything.
SERENA and her SS skills are complete:
Path, Arc, Wis, EE, Air, Water, Earth and Arm.
And her spells are complete in her handbook, what other can't get them, thus only available heroes in their Tavern, and Tower also all alliances have identical spells, so scholar skill is matter, map has 50-150 random scholar gives random spells, etc
Air Shield, Bless, Counterstrike, Dispel, D. Ray, Prot. from Earth, Resurrection, Shield and Visions.
SANYA
Path, Arc, Nav, Wis, EE, Air, Water and Arm.
And her spells are Air Shield, Bless, Counterstrike, Cure, Destroy Undead, Forgetfulness, Ice Bolt, Lightning Bolt, Mirth, Precision, Prot. from Air and Summon Boat.
TIVA
Path, Log, Nav, Wis, EE, Off and Arm, when random Monolith leads her Fortress, and steps on event, and object removes, so goes to Witch Hut, in there Spell skill. Other can't learn Earth, for example, if random chooses Earth, because of 8 skills. Fortress has 7 skills. Player can try Earth without visit a Witch Hut, if player knows Witch Hut offers Fire.
Remember description says "Mastered magician and warrior becomes crybaby due to Eagle Eye, for example. But another becomes antagonist or protagonist by rule be due to they're Mighty Kings with their usefulnesses in mythical territory."
Ok TIVA's spells are only one Stone Skin, so difficulty map is Expert level, I can't give more difficulty, thus players haven't experience or HoMM3/EE sensation.
Fun! When JollyJoker said "Playing Fortress with Witches is fun" and Doomforge becomes someone being  I'm playing.. But if you have WoG/ERA, when in Sep is coming to maps4heroes.. If interested!
SP? Then Tower is the best for your today knowing, but crybaby in SP tournament, thus fun Fortress..
