Spell effects on heroes
Ok, hear me out
Forgetfulness that, when cast on heroes, makes them forget one spell at random. They will need to relearn it later.
Basic - A random spell
Advanced - A random spell of the highest level they know
Expert - Choose which spell
How's that for buffing water magic
Blinding to a hero, that doesn't let the enemy cast targeted spells for a turn (they can still cast mass spells and others like quicksand, earthquake and land mine)
Expert disrupting ray that goves to a hero -1 defense until end of combat.
Hypnotize that when cast on a hero lests you cast a spell by controlling them the next turn. Only works on much weaker heroes (Hypnotize is legendarily weak).
Berserk that, when cast on a hero, makes them use damaging spell against their own creatures.
Magic Mirror that protects your hero from enemy hero's spells (at last a use for this!)
Remove Obstacle that, when cast of enemy heroes, makes then disappear... ok, that last one no, it's just a meme
Well anyways, this isn't an exhaustive list, you could put yours here.
I avoided expert level mass spells because they are autocast thus can't target the hero : / but they targeting heroes could be done with "separate mass spells" mod.
Never changing = never improving
