What city project would you like to see in HotA?

1°-new stronghold?
2°-limit=asylum?
3°-cathedral?
4°-similar to Oasis?

None. I'm finding the many choices disturbing, since I still can only assign 8 factions to one player.

I hope they do Cathedral next, since that was always my favourite of the original three. Lore wise, it could represent the Church of Baa.

I mean we have two factions for grassland, snow and swamp. Time to have the second faction for the other terrains too, I guess. I would like an egyptian-based faction on sand.

"similar to Oasis?" is hands down the best answer IMHO.

Reasons:

1. Might and Magic lore already includes necessary elements – pyramids, sphinxes, mummies, ankh, etc. Even the nomads and rogues match the vibe. It is a closer match than the factory/bulwark.  

2. You can use sand as the faction's native terrain.

If I was designing the faction, half of the units would be human (rogues, nomads, etc.) discovering tombs and pyramids. Then the other units recruited there could be undead / semi-living. One unit (e.g., updated mummy?) could have an effect to remove the negative morale effect of mixing living with undead. Just an idea

Bastion is/was the best town design made by fans.
I'm thinking in a town where fighting in sands can be a terroryfing experience against a Bastion/Desert Town. (more than Tower(snow) and swamp(Fortress)).
Also, as others said, egyptian is a known lore aspect of the universe, in MM6 there are Anubises, genies, pyramids, still alive, can fit perfectly as a side civilization like Cove.
In my opinion a sand/desert based town is the most delayed feature to be made in a serious project like HOTA.

The scarabs in WOG Project was a triumph.
My ideal lineup for a deser town can be:
-Scarabs
-Mummies/Royal Mummies (Royal Mummies can be the actual mummy)
-Nomads (already in the game)
-Ammit (present in Bastion project)
-An unit like viper (like lvl3 in Oasis/Viper Claw in diablo2/Wadgets in Pavilion)
-Sphinx/Hieracosphinx (as a double Big creature, the evolved with wings))
-Anubises

-Scarabs (fly,Very Weak)
-Mummies/Royal Mummies (undead, Like Zombies, royal with curse effect)
-Nomads (Immune to Quicksand, Improves sand movement points in sand for hero)
-Ammit (Immune to quicksand)
-Viper (Immune to quicksand, Move under the sand, like teleport, attack first)
-Sphinx (magic resistance, upgraded can fly)
Anubis (Magical Caster, Revive Mummies)

Bastion should have a kind of relation with necropolis, some heroes should have necromancy for mummies, or get some benefit from it.

With the inclusion of the Mammoths in latest HOTA town, the oliphant in Bastion gets eliminated.

Probably a Mage guild up to level 5

Also include Quicksands "Magical terrain" for the map.

Other interesting units to be added which are already part of the lore:

Skeleton Archers
Triton
Ooze
Werewolf
Wisps
Ratman

None. 12 cities fit nicely into the 4 by 3 grid.

The experience is starting to get diluted. With even more towns I feel cities, creatures, heroes will get random and uninspiring at some point.
I mean we've already got a number elementals, a slew of dragons and de-facto dragons for instance.

Written by a dedicated player, who is still playing the original Armageddon's Blade campaigns and cannot see when it ends.

Probably, now it's about time to finish business with HotA campaigns and call it a day. There are plenty of things that need attention besides new towns.

I know, I know, new towns are always welcome, but will you find enough time in this life to master all 12 available?

I'd expect a new Vori campaign and a secret one where all new factions are involved in a global conflict. And call it the Horn of the Abyss expansion.

Still, there is a room for another one, who knows
