Who thinks George W Bush is a muppet puppet

I serioisly believe that Dubya Bush is puppet president that doesn't have a mind of his own.

I am interested to find out from our American posters what they think of him?

Opinions please.

you can't be that dense and be president

I think he takes alot of advice and is probably beholden to so many different interest groups its difficult to take any original action, but that is normal for all presidents. Really though, you don't make it that high in politics by being an idiot. Talking slow and saying dumb phrases doesn't mean you are stupid, just that you might not be the hippest person around.

Even Clinton though he lied when he knew he was going to get caught, and did some dumb things if he was thinking about much should have avoided wasn't an idiot, he just thought with parts of his body other than his brain too much.

VEry interesting opinion, I have heard he is an effective manager and delegates a lot. But with a job like the president the devil is in the detail and I believe that he is led too much by his advisors

well

Personally I don't like alot he's done in the name of war on terror, but as far as delegating things... I don't have any problem with that. It seems alot more realistic to delegate than try and control everything yourself. No one is an expert on everything, and it's better to find people you think know what they are doing to manage it for you. If you can't judge whether the people know what they are doing or not, then you probably couldn't manage it yourself anyway.

Im sorry hes the biggest idiot ever and hes in charge of the most powerful country in the world, scary!!!

Heres some "dumb"ya quotes

"For a century and a half now, America and Japan have formed one of the great and enduring alliances of modern times."—Tokyo, Japan, Feb. 18, 2002 "

"Do you have blacks, too?"—To Brazilian President Fernando Cardoso, Washington, D.C., Nov. 8, 2001"

"They misunderestimated me."—Bentonville, Ark., Nov. 6, 2000
"

My view: never trust a man that can nearly choke to death on a pretzel to run a country

""Of course Bush knew about the impending attacks on America . He did nothing to warn the American people, because he needed this war on terrorism. His daddy had Saddam and he needed Osama. His presidency was going nowhere. He wasn't elected by the American people, but placed in the Oval Office by the conservative Supreme Court; the economy was sliding into the usual Republican pits and he needed something to hang his presidency on. This guy is a joke. His silence was sleazy and contemptible."

politicians are all sleazy

That's rule #1 about politics. So it's a moot point to complain about it.

As far as quotes go... I think it's hilarious how often people under media attention say idiotic things, everyone in any office anywhere has a list of those quotes, you can go to the bookstore and order books on the different british prime ministers stupid quotes also. I think if there are microphones around you all day and nearly everday of the week anyone is bound to have some stupid quotations picked up. Not to mention how many quotations are also urban myths that enver really were said, but are spread regardless. Some interesting books on that phenomena also in your local bookstore, but of course you can't trust everything you read...

Clinton was a freakin' Rhodes scholar.  In terms of intelligence he's closer to genius than moron (I don't think he's actually a genius, but he's on the smart mo-fo side of the IQ line).  To use D&D terminology, the guy has an extremely high intelligence score and a somewhat lower wisdom score (apparently a pretty high Charisma, too.)  Supposedly, our two most intellectually gifted presidents in the past two years have been Clinton and Nixon.  Go figure.  (Of course, personally I liked Clinton and thought he did quite a good job of presidenting, but that doesn't change the fact that he's got pretty bad taste in women).

Dubya, while not actually stupid in the strict definition of the word (well, by that I mean <80 IQ or so) certainly does not appear to have the cognitive ability that I personally desire in a president.  I suppose it's possible that he's pulling an Eisenhower and trying to appear more bumbling than he really is, but if so he's a really good actor.  I'm really glad he's got people like Powell around him, but I'd much rather have intelligent advisors advising and intelligent president.

On a related note : How do you spell Texas?  T-E-X the a$$ went to Washington!

Like, any of you OR ANYONE could be president without some intenet dweebs talkin smack.

Edit..
Ok, so this whole government we established by the authorization of the people, for the people meant that a guy like BUSH is suposed to run everything his own personal way? My friend -*V*V*- there is an entire nation with its representatives & delegates that Bush has to work with

ytf do you imbecels keep thinking your so good you can rip on the guy all day long???

I cannot wait til all of us die.
I will be in hell probably, with some of you. And every last one of you will realize your meaninglessness, and idiocity for ignorantly saying you kknow whats best and you know whats not working.

Not to mention, some of you know how, and why its not working. And frankly If your 50% right I'm suprised (although it is possible).

Its most likely you'll feel like a **F* Tard if there is an afterlife. But hey, you'll all be **Ftards together so no big deal eh?

last edit:
And yes, i would feel my shares of meaninglessness too. Knowledge holds no power outside of a mechanical world of a trillion *things* (all things)

If Bush was a muppet I'd say he was Beaker. Because by now he's running around going 'Meep! Meep!' cos we all know that he is screwed for the next election and will probably go down in history as one of the worst US presidents ever. I think the only people that might actually like him are the Americans that voted for him, the Israelis and his pet dog Tony Blair.
He led the most powerful military force in the world into war against a country that had suffered for years already under brutal American sanctions, dragging Britain and a few other countries with him for a big pack of lies.
If he'd been open in the first place and said - Yup, the Taliban's gone and Afghanistans a better place, now we'll do the same in Iraq, I wouldn't have cared. I'd have applauded him. But that wasn't good enough. He thought he'd claim that Saddam was ready to kill us all in 45 mins if we didn't git those darn WMD's. And look where that got him.
Then he has now managed to alienate liberals all over America by saying that he's going to make it his duty to make same-sex marriage unconstitutional, which is like waving a red flag at a big pink bull!

I caught a recent interview on TV, the reporter asked: 'Mr President, do you think you'll be re-elected?'
Bush replied 'MEEP!'

Since this seems more like a liberal rant thread, I'll keep this short.
They were UN sanctions, not American.  And your alienate liberals thing, anyone who is a liberal is about garanteed not to vote for Bush.  Simple as that.
Well, let the ranting continue!
