Mythology

About the genise idea,I didn't quite consider the mythology part.But let's don't be so serious about this.We're only listing possible ideas for reference

Besides,the games has not conformed to the rule that creatures from the same town has to belong to the same culture.If it has to be so,there would be a Greek town flooding with monsters since most of the creatures in the game comes from Greek mythology.Anyway,it's not Civilization we're talking about

So,kindly let the homeless genies reside in the desert.

Why for necros? Can't other towns have undead units except of necro? And by the way, mummies are not animated dead they are bodies which got their spirit back so they are kinda alive.

And also, genies should be neutral and rare, there should be only one in a lamp, and they should have the halving thingy and maybe should be spellcasters and even give money or something.

The reason i think they should belong to the necro is this:
IN heroes 2 they were a part of the necro because the necro had come along and raise the mummies from there tombs.
Your towns about egyptians the egyptians did not embalm the bodies of there dead so they could come back as warriors,the reason they did this is to preserve the body for the afterlife, that is also why they removed all there vital organs as well. Its the necromancers who have come along and raised them from the dead to fight.

About mummies

I agree that mummies should belong to the necromancers,but it kind of looks strange to have a pyramid in the necropolis.Seems rather awkward to me

Crocodiles

They also worshipped crocodiles in ancient Egypt as gods. I just can't picture them in HOMM... (recruiting crocodiles from a river for instance) Would some kind of reptiloid work? Reptile Warriors?!? Well.. it was just a thought entering my mind..

Mummies do not belong to Necro, and besides, why can't other towns but necro master some dark magic?  And they could still be neutral, just like the Fortress has witches and its still neutral.

I see you are a respected hero now, congratulations. I think some tavern dwellers should respect you more .
About mumies, they belong to egypt town. Because, mumies are cursed egyptian priests. They cursed them with the worst one, to be undead, this was the worst curse for them. This is what Mystery said there, in kind of way they brought their spirits back. So we'll stick to this: Mumies are Egypt creatures. Vampires and necros have nothing to do with them, so leave them alone in their eternal tombs. .
And, of course, Egypt should be neutral.
I like the idea of genies. They should be very rare and just one in a bottle. How about a wish from them....
And, just one more thing that no one mentioned till now. Cats are the guardians of pyramids. There should be a cat like unit. Ya know, something like, half cat-half something. Or these could be neutral units, guarding pyramids in the adventure maps...
Havent visited the comunity for a long time, I see some good ideas here...

Off topic...

And, look, in the www.pcgames.com I saw heroes of might and magic for Sony Playstation 2. I saw some pictures there. In fact it is a 3d version of heroes. I saw a feature there that we might expect in heroes4, THE LEADERSHIP DETERMINES HOW MANY CREATURES A HERO CAN CONTROLL. Are we gonig to see it on heroes4?

Almost all Egyptians who could afford to became mummies when they died -- a total of about 70 million mummies in 3,000 years. Thats a hell of a lot of cursed priests! If you dont know anything about Egyptians why are you talking like you do!

mummies....

hello!

mummies are definietly not just priest. according to the sourse i was reading and many otheres that confirms it, mummies are usually dead kings or queens and other spiritual leaders. And definietly not everyone can be mummified because to mummifiy a body it costs a fortune and the state of power they have in this world...

well this is what i remembered and if this proves to be wrong i am happy to listen to corrections...

ps why don't we have a race that is based on the arabian nights...it would be cool!!
genies, efreets, flying man(carpet), i mean the conflux town already looks like the taj mahal right?

If this town won't be included in H4, I hope they will put it in the expansion, so here's the "H4 compatible" creature roster:

Mummy -> Royal mummy.
Priest -> High priest OR Cat warrior -> Tomb guardian.
Scorpion -> Scorch stinger OR Sand spirit -> Sandstorm.
Scarab -> Holy scarab OR Nile crocodile -> Crocodile king.
Cobra -> Fire cobra OR Plague beast -> Curse slasher.
Pharaoh -> Dark pharaoh OR Sphinx->Royal sphinx.

The Egypt heroes should specialize in Cursing Magic and all units should be able to cast Curse.
The town name should be Pyramid or Tomb.

What do u think?

hmm i dont know if they will fit into h4 yet. I think we will have to see if any of our town ideas could fit in with the new towns. I think wait until we know the story of heroes 4 to see if any town idea there is here could fit in.

Look gyus, when I talked about mumies, I know that there are a lot of mumies and that kings and rich ancient egyptians mumified themselves, I mean, they paid to be mumified. But I was talking about something else, not about mumies in their sarcophagus doing nothing. The mumies we have in heroes are something different. Have you guys seen the Mummy movie. I think you should try that. Why do they curse you when they attack, from where does this cursing nature comes from..... Anyway it doesn't matter...

Yes that is nice. Also I don't know why 3do took out mummies in the first place. I mean in Homm2 they were quite good, right?

P.S.: GoldenDragon I was trying to look at your page, but when I put my cursor on it happened to have a screwed up addres of MY page. Hmmm... weird isn't it. You can't even SPELL it! If you can't spell it you can't STEAL it from me! Next time when you try to steal another page spell it right!

The mummies in Armageddon's Blade were too weak. They out them back probably just to claim that all the original HoMM2 creatures made it back. They made it just like the trolls, neutral, rare, weak and useless. But at least they kept the spirit of the mummy by still letting it curse. I sure hope that mummies return in HoMM4 as Lvl 6-8 creatures for the Pyramid Town and NOT the Necro Town. Most Mummies were affluent Egyptians and except for cursed priests (which account for about 20% of all mummies) mummies came back to life not through reanimation but through the spirit returning to the body. The greatest distinction between mummies and undead is that mummies have emotion and retain memory. I guess it would be okay though if mummies were still affected by turn undead spells but only if they are Lvl 7 or 8. A more powerful type of Mummy might be a Cursed Mummy (a mummified cursed priest) that is only available if you have a Necro town under your control. Otherwise an upgrade might be a shooter mummy that shoots out embalming gases

As for Genies I say put them back in the sand but keep efreets in infernoes (if any)

Some Creatures for this town.

Im just calling names and the special attacks.


Scarabs/Storm Beetles (Can go into corpses and then transform into Scarab Demons/Call Storm on The walking map to make fire elementals and other fire NPC perish away, ingame they can shoot lighting bolts)

Sphinx/Anuinx(Anubis in Sphinx form)(Can Ask sometimes 10% a riddle to enemie unit when its wrong (goes random) the sphinx may attack again/Sorry i can't find anything for the anuinx ;o(  

Nomads(Can cast Sandstorm and they have fast walkings on sand areas.

Anubus warrior/Anubis God (Can attack with giant two headed axes/can summon Scarabs an shoots for an attack)

Anacaris(Giant Scorpion)/Scorpion king(half scorpion half man) (Poison sting can poison the enemies/can summon anacaris and also poison enemie units)

Genie/Morgana (Same as in homm3/morgana can cast morgana then a little oases appears and all the enemie units are going straight ahead to the oasis the next turn leaving the other folks of the morgana alone,The weaker units can escape this way ;o)

Shokan(4 armed statues/giants)/Marauders(6 armed monsters)
(Shokans can attack 4 surrounding enemie units/marauders can attack 2 times and attack all surroundings)

Mantrays/Deserd sharks (Can burrow to become invisible to enemies/can also burrow but can also attack close enemies wile being burrowed)

Sand-Hydra(Can attack 3 units at the same time)

Tarantula/Spider Queen (Can lay Spider Traps That make enemies ensnare into spider webs, While they are insneard they can't move anymore/Can summon tarantulas and also lay spider webs on 4 places at the same time!)

Treworms/Giant Worms(have you seen the movie tremors?
(Can Make Earthquaks and burrow themselves/Can make an earthquake that damage every enemie and friendly unit on screen.

Flying Prince/Sultan on magic Carpet(Can fly/Can Fly when he dies his magic carpet fights on to do little damage)

Moon Dragon/Sun Dragon(Strong at nighttime/Strong At Daytime)

Storm Dragon/Hurricane Dragons(can make bad weather on the battlefield, Then the fire and earth made creatures defence is going down with great speed!/Can make a hurricane that ensnare units)

Samurai/Ninja(can attack with their deathblades to kill a First class unit in one strike!/Can throw poison ninja stars to poison units from a distance)

Phoenix/Phoenix Queen(looks like a lady with fire hear)
(IS very fast and could do rebirth/Could Summon death phoenix alive again and could summmon new phoenix also, but only 1 at the time)

Mummie/Pharaoh (leave Deathcloud when killed that poison enemie units that walks true this/Could give mummies more power and even make death warriors turn into mummies that fight for the pharaoh)

Nemean Lion/Scorpicore (Has a very strong skin that protects him toward anything!/Same as in homm3)

Deserd striker(Yellow Lizard man)/Khamelion Archer(Could burrow and shoot with sand arrows/Could change his collors to become invisible to attackers for one round long they have also bows to shoot)

Hippogryph/Gryphon(Can fly/Can fly and attack always back when attackt)

Silver Golem/Gold Golem (good versus werewolves and vampires/Good versus Medusa and minotaurs)

Gila Monster(Can BADLY poison the enemies,This enemies will die soon if the Leader not help them fast!)

Ranger/Eagle Eye(Can Shoot Fire Arrows that do serieus damage to ice creatures like yeti and ice elementals and shoot Ice arrows that damage Earth Creatures(She random shoots a fire or ice arrow so you have to be lucky every time you shoot)/Does not has an penalty for shooting, he is the best shooter in the game,Give you more eagle eye ability on the moving map)

Oke I know much more creaturs but I think this is enough.
