who plays homm 4
ive seen a lot of posts about homm 3 but none on homm 4

I like playing HMM2, but when I don't I always play HMM4 because the graphics remind me of HMM2.

Hey Shadow elf nice signature man!
I play it all the time now compared to H3, but that is also because my copy of Heroes 3 was dropped into the bath by my darling younger niece. Personally whilst the AI is useless at least some of the other aspects are better like the skills and spells

I think alot of players including me don't play heroes IV that often because i'm waiting for multi, because today with the exception of max payne if the game doesn't have a solid multiplaying community the game will not do half as well as the company would like. Multiplayer is essential for any game to be a hit. And as it stands now Heroes IV is a miss, i'm hoping the multi will give it some life to me and community.

the only reason i posted this was i would go and look at say comparison of town and say what the heck is a conflux or inferno

Well I don't like it more because I think with the multiplayer patch it will become a lot better. I just wish they would sort out the AI

HMM4 is not so popular because the multiplayer is not released yet. When it will be it might be as popular as its prequel.

I'll know if I like HOMM4 when I get home from work tommorrow. Let's just say that a certain will be done downloading from KaZaa in about 12-16 hours.

Actually the release date on HOMM IV multiplayer patch has been "soon" since the game was released. My guess is that 3DO has a different definition of soon than those who have been anxiously awaiting the patch for 6 months. 
I have been playing both H3 and H4 lately, H3 mostly online multi or preparing for it. H4 does not seem to be as bad for multi as I thought it would be. As things seem now, it usually takes me into week 5 or 6 to beat the AI on a medium map (one made for multi anyhow) but the actual game time seems to be shorter than it takes to beat H3 in week 3, so one of my worries might not become true after all. (that H4 multi games would take 7-8 hours)
