HOMM3 or HOMM4?
I THINK THAT TOH SHOULD HOLD BOTH HOMM3 AND HOMM4!. LOOK WHAT HAPPENED TO HOMM2, IT DIED. don't let thAt happen to HOMM3 too.
Keep HOMM3 Alive Please!!!!!

The facts of life, u can't teach old dog's new tricks. People get older, material items break down and u gotta replace em. Games/software get old and need to be updated. Heroes 3 will still have a place in the homm community but 4 is the future  )

Well actually toh is going to have h3 and h4, Myths is a part of toh therefor guess what *in shock* toh still has h3!!

If ToH H3 automation is back..
Zone activity will double and be back to 80-100 players most times..
We all know it..Now let's just ante up and get it phucking done

I gotta say I love them both and dont want homm3 to die. I know that myths point system is different, but it is toh affiliated and I enjoy it too. =O).

I don't really care that much. I h8 hmm4 but there are people who like it, so good for them. ToH is now hmm4 based but Myths is here now, to support the gamers who want to play hmm3. Give them enough time and they will have automation aswell. Remember that Myths had as much notice about the closing of ToH as us.

Yes Splexx without automation on these other tournies H3 will slowly die...
with it...it may stay around a bit longer

Well Myths has went 1 year without automation, we have had our slow times but we have always stuck in there.

i will play homm 3 forever unless homm 5 is better than 4 and i hope every1 does not quit or give it up cause of homm 4

I think the problem most peeps are having with homm4 is it's not a jazzed up retread of homm1.
Now there was nothing wrong with homm1-3, they were great games for there time. But face it, there was no real learning curve when moving from 1-3. People say the game was more intuitive, well i say not really. The game was alrdy learned with homm 1-2 and smoothly moved into 3.
Homm4 is a jarring move in a new direction. It's not a smooth retread like 3 was. All the strategy that was built up and painfully learned and honed in the previouse versions is for much of the new game useless.
Many of the things that were held dear and felt comfortably familiar in the previouse homms are just gone now.
Many people may still prefer the type of game play found in the older homm versions. At the same time many who used to play the games were really hoping for a new direction. Unfortunately i guess it was us in the second group who 3DO listened to when they created there 4th installment of HOMM.
Although many may wish for the next HOMM version to go back more to the way the original games were, I think you may find your hopes in vain. If anything, if there are any other versions of the game released, it will more than likely move more in the direction it is going now. I for one am glad it will, I truly think it's a better game now. That's not just my opinion either. This version is the best selling MM release of all time. It's the only MM game to ever crack the top 10 in game sales.
ps. Homm 3 was a great game, but homm 4 is better

When I moved from H2 to H3 I felt more as if it was an expansion on the ideas of H2 with different art and stuff. Some things I liked, some I didn't, but I felt the PLAY was better with more choices. H4 is almost like a NEW game related to Heroes, there is almost more changed than stayed the same.
I think some of those who don't like it just have not given it enough of a chance. Others really wanted an update of H3 either to stay in their "comfort zone" or because that is what they really like to play. I was expecting a very different game, so I was pleased by what I saw, but anyone who was expecting a continuation of H1-3 would have been disappointed. There is really nothing right or wrong about which you like, it is more a matter of oppinion. This said, why is it needed to proclaim that H4 is terrible and try to convince those who play it that they are idiots?
For myself, when I got H3 I uninstalled H2 from my computer, as I could not see any use in having both taking up my limited space, but when I got H4, I found some other things to get rid of instead, because I STILL play and enjoy H3. I guess my answer to the question which do I prefer is I prefer H4, but I still really enjoy H3 as well.

From what I know, most people seem to like heroes 3. What game is your favorite is your own business. I myself am indifferent because i haven't played 4 yet. Still, the heroes games seem to just get better, starting with 1, so maybe 4 is better than 3. It doesn't matter to me though, because I'm not going to stop playing 3 for a long time, until they come out with a homm5.

I think homm4 has moved to far away from homm 1-3. I love homm1-3. I like homm4, but I don't really see it as homm4, but as a different game. homm 1-3 are the homm games for me
