from everything written about the expansion pack going gold and all, do ya think it's worth buying?

I think it would be great for those who like heroes 4, Expansions always has great add ons but if you dont like heroes 4 then I think it may be booty

Old habits hard to break and everyone has a different RC (resistance-to-change) coefficient.
hope we get a chance to scurry about a not-too-big H4 map together soon JB.
Because of my reluctance to compare H4 to H3 I think it's been a little more enjoyable for me.
H3 wasn't quite as big a departure from H2 as is H4 from H3. With monsters and heroes both running around loose may seem a bit chaotic and cumbersome to some but hell, Theve even MADE a chaotic alignment
Hope your opinion of the game changes for the better over time JB.
In commenting on the Transfer lags... Jinxer running 56K had lags of between 45 and 75 seconds but data transfer time was almost immediate. Transfer times for me on Cable were between 20 and 60 seconds.
GameSpy is working really good so far as I've experienced and seems to have compensated for some of this lag. Too soon to tell though.

Oh dear, almost forgot. Yea I'll be buying it just to see if they've discovered some new monsters or taverns or heroes and maybe even a little more comprehensive MAP editor LOL

I dont see any benefits to getting it
what does it add that will improve original heroes 4?
look at armageddons blade..it added a new town, random map generator. plus lots of other stuff..worth getting if u wanted something new.
even shadow of death added combo arts, new terrains, update for map editor. not as great, but still offered more than what h4 exp is offering.

Well then what is this expansion then JB.
It would not make sense even making another expansion if there is nothing worth having if anything at all?

Well from what I read...h4 expansions has...
some new maps, some new campaigns, 4 new creatures, some new arts/combos, and thats it.
point i was making is..none of those additions are major changes. itd be nice to see an expansion with a lil more. esp if it costs 30 bucks or whatever its gonna sell for

Well, it depends on price. but i guess in my country the expansion will come VERY late...  And i need some kinda heroes upgrades to play gathering storm
