New Tourneys
Is it just me or am I seeing quite a few more people playing Myths/Bastards and Heroes Kingdom lately? It wasn't very long ago that the only games you could get on Zone were ToH and fun.
I guess I will always play ToH because it represents the 'benchmark' of a players skill, but I'm wondering if the focus has somehow shifted a little... Why is this?

Here is my 2 cents
As being a co founder of 1 of the tourneys.. Ba5tards, I think people just wanted a different change. When we created ours, which was right before all the others sprouted out, we planned to get many of the players who were into our style of play, faster turns, play more for fun, etc. we werent set against TOH, but used more as a list of players who u could find in toh to play with similar ideals, and a place where you could also play for alone too. Hence the silly ranking system
we helped people meet others who had similar game ideals and have worked off from that. This is the basis for our tournament, we have our own unique style, and dont ask for 200 players to register, but we just keep our small group, with add ons as time goes.
My oppinions on other tournaments is..Tymeria is great because it is a total unique tourney in itself. Myths and Heroes kingdom (sorry if its offensive) are a little too similar to each other, altho they got their own good ideas and designs. I always thought they could just combine to 1, but its just lil ole me's oppinion but some may agree, both got sorta knight themes and such..and most who play for myths, play for the other..and dunno bout you, but I lazy to report 1, let alone 2 or more this includes my wins btw, lol

New Tourneys
I expect more tourneys to come along as we get closer to homm4, and even more thereafter. The big question always resides in how long they last. TOH isnt supposed to be a monopoly, and its good to have variety.
With my increased busy schedule and marriage, I have left TOH to its main ranking, and divisions with few subtournaments, staying that way until homm4. More focus is being placed on homm4 right now, with professionals working on the future homm4 automation and such. I do not mind the decreased activity and work.
hey What am I saying? activity is continuing to rise by about 20% a month (judging by #of hits and games reported). Renewed interest from former players and new players finding homm3 in the discount bin.....
I just ask that if you start something, dont quit; there is no point in a ranking or record if you see it disappear in 3 months. (or so I think).
