TOH/Myths Divisions Opening SOON!!!
Mandi has appointed me as the Head man of Divisions. SO I wanted to get input from all players interested on what format you guys want it to be? Give me ideas on format and rules and artifacts etc
For example the total players per division will be only 6 total. 1 Capt and 5 members.
One idea suggested in past is that as soon as a recruit reaches the rank of Capt that player MUST leave the division he is in and start his own. This way we will have alot more divisions and less SUPER powerhouse divisions with all Capts/Legionaires etc.
Lets here some thoughts

I would much rather have H4 Divisons than H3 but look in H3 only like 3 barons and 6 squires u need to be atleast a Legionaire i thought to open one. so no one could open one anyways. i just wondering how h3 divisions where gonna start.

H4 divisions prerequisite...cable or better connection. Numbers will be extremely limited in division and clans with H4. Rememer, with H3 divisions and clans, overseas players (ie outside America) made up a large proportion of the numbers. How do we get the same numbers for H4, when a lot of these players will have low latency? With H3 is wasnt a problem, the initial heroes3 release was patched rather quickly, how long must we wait for a patch to fix this data transfer problem in H4?

I hope not long...but i fear the worst. I cant imagine how it takes so long to transfer. Seems like it transfers alot more KB than is necessary..

h3 divisions
Im guessing that once a player is legionnaire they can open up a division? Also, will you use the new land-based system? If so, remember that the season will need to run at least one year for a good divisions period.

Guys it was just what i heard y'all complaining about when season 5 went out, now you don't want it?!?! make up my mind lmao. Yes you have to reach leg. rank and yes Ves i would like to use land style and yes i understand divisions will have to run a year. I WILL NOT be in charge of divisions Jinxer will be it will be run like divsions was ran in the past.

Why not use the 'old' Tymeria 'system' ?
As I recall Ves will use a similar system for HeroesIV Clans/division ?? or am I on the wrong track here ?

hmm well maybe I was wrong. It appears that nooone is truely intersted in divisions. Havent seen very many people posting ideas and much interest. I give it about 1 more week. If there isnt more interest shown and ideas posted then we can just forget about Divisions. Just be less work for us.

IMHO
the reason for the lack of interest is the legionairre thingie. In order to start a division we need leg's; and there is not much leg's left. becoming a leg means hours and hours of gameplay. I think, many of the veterans quit homm3 or ToH/MaH.
I am sure there are many who are interested in divisions. But they do not post here, since they are not leg's.
Another reason that comes to my mind is that most of MaH players were non-ToH players. (and vice versa)

you need to follow activity ratings
Ive mentioned in previous threads, that a certain tourny is successful only when certain levels of activity are there.
A land-based division system will require at least an activity rating of 1500, and clan system 1000. Doesnt matter if its homm3 or homm4.
Right now homm3 ToH activity rating is 300, and homm4 ToH is 250.
Smaller tourneys like the hero, speedeamon, addicts and such are more viable on lower activity. Im not sure what the future of homm3 gaming is, but homm4 will continue to grow at a steady rate... we should approach activity ratings above 1000 by december.

Before closing toh season V, the activity rating was high enough
SOLUTION: Bring back toh seasonV,
I think a tourney could be a lot of things but one of them is mainly a place where to test your skills against other players (and hopefully having fun in it )
Homm4 is a brand new game with bugs and for now quite untested maps.People do enjoy it coz it 's refreshing(lots of them were playing homm3 for a long time).They foresee this game with a lot of potential in the future(map editing and bugs free),some are thrilled coz " they don t know what to do in games" as opposed to homm3.
It's fine if you want to have a place to register your wins and lost somewhere.But this game is at the EXPERIMENTAL level and far from being a game played for a competitive ladder system!
SO WHY SHUT OFF TOH SEASON V ?
If you're a builder type person,you wouldn't shoot at your own creation?
If it is a wicked plan to bring more people to homm4 online, it's prolly a good short term strategy but will it pay's off in the long term?
So how would you call that blast on seasonV ?
A. HYPNOTYSE
B. METEOR SHOWER
C. IMPLOSION
D. HIT AND RUN
E. ARMAGEDDON
I would say armageddon coz everybody got a little hurt by this. Unless it was a benediction for those who left the game for good
Resurection would be the key spell here.Bring back toh seasonV and the 1000pts base system!

Well I'd have to say TOH closure of season V was a Great thing for me! ALthough a little pissy at first..
Now I am concentrating (not playing Homm3) while at work! I am probably 100 times more productive, and feel a whole lot better as well!
5 months ago I think this woulda sucked but at this point of my life that closure was maybe the second best thing happening, 1st place being Baby on the way..
I also agree that the activity level is just not gonna be there in Myths 
I would certainly like to play in a division, but I don't have the time to rank myself into Myths Legionaire.
Although its sad and quite strange feelings between Myths and TOH has always been somewhat disdainful. Why I remember maybe a year ago Ves being kinda upset about Myths (Granted White_Wiz for the most part) using toh idiology for tournaments and such. But of course the player base its whats concerned here, and I think alot of players harbor this bad attitude towards Myths as a Noob tourney, or some such thing. (before flaming for that.. its not my opinion per say, but your fool to not have realised that was a pretty large opinion.)
Its my opinion that myths needs to wait a while, maybe even a full season before open a tournament of such aa magnitude. Most TOH do not know Mandi, Don't know will she be around in a year? Will there be enough fan base of H3 in 6months to hold such a tournament?
I might be wrong since I was not here.. but did TOH hold Divisions season1? If so was it a huge active tournament? Or did it need to "Put in its Time" and grow a trust and a loyal group of Veterans ?
I know that myths has run clans, kingdoms, ect.. before. But they have never really had the huge player base to deal with..
ANyway after all that I do think that Myths will be around in a year, I do think Homm3 gaming will continue for at least another year(prolly more) But I don't think Myths has the nessecary Notoriety or Active Player base to hold such a tournament so soon.
And the last thing I want to do is get excited for another division season and have it not possible!
PS: None of this is meant as a bash to anyone or to myths, its just the way I see the community and things concerning the topic at hand

Myths is ToH, and ToH3 is Myths. There is no difference in homm3 ToH now than last season V. Same automation, same everything even mainpage of h3 ToH is a clone of season IV ToH.
The big difference is that I do not touch homm3 ToH at all, and Mandi & Ravyn replace me as the administrators. They both have been running their own sites in the heroes community for years.

well, Divisions Dream is gone, there is no sence opeing a tournament everyone is going to complain about. It has nothing to do with season 5, all it is is people not want to realize myths is a part of toh oh well so be it.
