thats just how 3do works...look at Heroes 3, it has so many bugs in it lol.. and together Its almost as bad as the h4 bug. be nice if 3do did public beta tests to limit the amount of bugs, but sadly they dont, so sometimes you gotta live with some bugs in the game :/

splexx people thought the gremlin rehire tactic was a learned great skill at one time also until 3do fixed it in a patch. Same goes for chaining in h3. They new they were gonna fix it in Heroes 4 so didnt bother wasting time and resources to do it in H3.
Also about password protect splexx. You add pasword at beginning of game and there for you cannot access any made saves at all no matter when you make them without password.
Its a great feature. 3DO did do something right

screw passwords...
You play in TOH and everyone is honorable there! No-one cheats so why use passwords?
heeh ok just tosssing but seriously... is that password so damn important for your paranoid soul?
and they fixed chaining in homm4 lmao
the excuses has no end to why any can suck at homm3 
the maps... damn the maps in homm3... all week3 rush maps wich makes no fun.. its nothing about skill! but only hex memoraziation!!!

Solmyr+alamar+jeddite+deemer+dessa+kyrre+craghack+tazar... etc etc. ... all thoose heroes just makes homm3 so damn unfair
but again... 3do made up for that in homm4

i totaly agree with jb here, both h3 and h4 were relesed with lots of bugs, some were removed, some will be and some will stay with us for next few seasons, but can anyone tell me what game was relesed lately without bugs?
for h4 i just hope they will fix some bugs, speed up transfer and give us RMG so everyone can start playing, because soon h3 will be ancient history, you cant play this game forever, move on
p.s.
for chaining i think its not a bug, not even a skill , just part of the game, some use it, few dont

Titan 888: You misunderstand my comment. Town portal (or any of the spells in h3) are fair, I have no problems with any of them. It's just that none of the h4 maps were designed with this bug in mind.
If you use this bug, maps like Showdown, If These Walls, Boring's Mountain, etc, will be insanely easy. (Ok, Boring's Mountain is already insanely easy)
I would love to see Town Portal work like it does in h3, and if you practice with the spell, you can make the h4 spell work the same way!
Where have I ever said that h3 was unfair? Where are you people getting that from?

Within the parameters of H3 I would concur that Chaining is a skill. Of course as it's used it makes dwarves and archers on equal footing as Arch Angels and Gold Dragons. That is, no matter what their actual movement/speed, any creature is enabled movement just as far as any other.
In answer to the saved game issue. Loading a saved multiplayer game requires all passwords. Viewing or playing a saved game, any type of saved game, is another subject. Note that I refered above to a saved "multiplayer game".

im sure some players used it already
but at least the ones I played didnt.... and people will be more weary 'paranoid?' about another using it. And if a player does, its no different to ToH than any other form of cheating. That player will be removed from ToH records and put on the hall of shame.

I've played 1 game so far when I could see much more than the opponent though I could I think..
and not to say he was cheating, neither will I mention his name.. as I am far to N00b too tell without veiwing save files and such..
But when he attacked me I wondered how the hell did he do that..
could have been a caravan, could have been anything.. I hope its not use of this henious bug.
I think its also very important for "Most" players to realize that you are not a professional by any means yet.. well maybe some of these 18-0 records.. But don't go accusing everyone that surprises you with cheating through use of this bug.. If you are concerned ask for a password, and send the game along to HC and see what happens.
