Rules to be followed when posting in the library
Main rules to follow when posting the library:
1.Post on topic.
This is not a spam forum, just as the whole of HC is not a spam board.
2. No linking to warez, cracks, etc.
If you absolutely must talk about that use other means of communication. IMs, Yahoo Messanger, ICQ, etc… I hope I don’t even need to tell you not to post links to/or porn.
Porn- no pictures, links to pictures, movies, novels, etc. If it is absoultely neccesary, you can give a HINT about what you’re saying. Just use your head.
Warez, cracks, etc- No links, no "Get this games in 3 easy steps" threads or posts. Also, no disscusions about this subject are allowed.
3.Don’t be an ass.
Flaming is not appreciated by anyone, and will make the moderators extremly unhappy. And trust me, you don’t want unhappy moderators. Flaming will be severly punished. It can even lead to banning of the transgressing member.
4. Make sure that you post in a sensible manner.
EXAMPLES PROVIDED FOR EDUCATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY
Example A: "I think that (creature name) is better than (creature name)." = FINE.
Example B: "I think that (creature name) is better than (creature name) because that creature sucks." = BAD
Example C: "I think (hero class) is the best class in the game ." = FINE.
Example D: "I think (hero class) really sucks, and I won’t even consider this ( generic swear) class." = REALLY BAD.
5. No personal attacks and name-calling.
If you have a strong disagreement with someone, that's all it is. Don't take it to the next stage of "vendetta-hood".
6. Make an attempt to start threads worthy of this forum's users' time.
You'd better give everyone some starter material for the discussion.

Example A: "What do you think of this (creature, hero, tactic, etc)? I hate it." = LAME
Example B: " What do you think of this (creature, hero, tactic, etc)? I think that this (creature, hero, tactic, etc) is better, because it has many advantages, like speed, better defense, etc. " = FINE.
Important.
You are resbonsible for what you post. You are not anonymous when you post. Remeber that.
Also, you must know that the moderators have ways of finding out who you are, even if you’re using another account. (Which, btw, is highly discouraged)
VERY IMPORTANT:
None of these rules are negociable. They just are, and everyone who posts here must be carefull not to break them. They may be modified at any later time, if the situation arises that demands their modification and/or adding any other rules.

i dont know u i dont know anythingabout the things going on in the mod forum....
but what is this piece of crap about?
library should be funny i think but u try to make this place like a real library ... quit and boring!
i like the tosses and i like the flames! why shouldn't the so called "tossers"  stop flaming noobs....i think nobody will complain 
this is not a direct insult just an advice from a neutral

Might not the newbies complain? How are they supposed to learn if the tossers just scare them off? People aren't born knowing all the Heroes tricks, after all.

While I agree that HC has been struggling a bit in the last 6 months or so and your general rule list makes sense overall.........
I have no clue what the above means!?
The only thing I can see different in the above example is the word "sucks". I didnt know this was a restricted word (If it is) when it's use is not directed at another person.
In neither example is there an explanation or discussion of WHY this "un-named creature" sucks so there is no advancement of Heroes theory or indeed any reason to post it at all except to increase post count (that sucks). But... then again there is no REAL reason to post anything... anywhere... ever.
There is no attack or flame on another poster so unless the
"un-named creature" has been offended I see no foul.
So.... if it's only the use of the word "sucks" that offends you, we have truly sunk to a new high here at HC.
My native language is english and I am fairly good at it, others here are from all over the world and may also not understand.
Please explain.

1. I used that word because i saw no purpose in typing in all of the swear words i know in english.
2. No one can force a poster to write a long post about the benefits or disadvanatges of a creature, hero..etc. As i said, those are EXAMPLES. That specific example regards the use of swear words. And if ppl start posting wihtout using the word "suck", specificaly, even better.

It looks at first glance that you are walking a fine line there with the stated rulez.
I guess thats the point I was trying to make. Words can be played with and firm rulez really only apply to those who cannot/will not play the game.
The direct insult can be manipulated a little as you so cleverly pointed out. Sometimes just by mis spelling a word you can stay out of trouble!

Okay, I think I understand the reasoning behind "no pictures" I think I get "links to pictures" and I understand "movies" But novels????? So I'm not allowed to make reference to Moby Dick because of the mild homoeroticism? Grapes of Wrath? There are a couple of sex scenes in there. How about Stephen King novels? Oodles of sex in those. I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that Lolita is right out.
