Fanfiction
If you've got a second read this little bit of fanfiction by moi. It's probably not the best you've ever read but I hope you enjoy it anyway.
As the blow connected I heard a sickening crunch, the skeleton swayed before crumbling onto the ground. To the left my kinsmen were holding well, dispatching the undead abominations with large swipes of their warhammers, however to my right the undead were amongst us, unable to bring the weight of their weapons to bear they were forced to tangle with the creatures hand to hand. I caught a climpse of somthing in the corner of my eye, instinctivly I swung my weapon smashing the skull of one of my attackers clean off. His companion however thrust his blade into my left sholder, it's rusted edge cut through my thin leather armour and peirced my flesh. A hot white flash of pain lanced through my body, I struck back at the creature with my elbow, sending it to the ground. Quickly using the butt of my hammer I snapped it's neck. I wiped the sweat from my brow with my quivering hand. I retched. The smell of decaying flesh and the morning dew made me sick, the stench was almost overpowering. I quicky got myself back together again, I stuffed a peice of cloth into my wound with my hand and picked up my warhammer with the other. It was only mid morning, and there was much work to be done.

I just have a small question. What is a "hot white flash of pain?" I mean I get the hot flash part, but how is it white? I've seen this used in so many books and I had to ask someone what it meant cause it sure confuses me.

Whenever someone talks about flashes, light must be involved, right? And the light has a colour. In this case, white.

It could be a colorless flash. Sometimes when my monitor flashes i don't know what color that is. Its a ___ flash. Couldn't his hero have a hot ___ flash!? ISN'T IT POSSIBLE?!

When some metals get REALLY hot they go white. It's sorta symbolising the immense extremes of pain that the person's experiencing. White also portrays a very powerful feeling. Oh, and if your monitor's flashing, hit it once or twice, always works for me

Ahah I get it. But couldn't a red flash work too? Red symbolizes burning or blood, both would be good. The arrow hit Jorge in his shoulder, and he experienced a red hot flash of pain  . And about the monitor, thats what i usually do to fix it
