Well,if u got beaten by dread pirate Rob,you won't stand a chance against Mastermind and the other stronger enemies
Why did u get beaten?What hero were u playn?What level had u reached?
It shouldn't be too hard!
By the time u wanna attack Dread Pirate Rob,u should have reached 2nd level,then u should have cavaliers!Normally they would be too xpensive for you to carry around,but in this case,buy some of them,attack Rob and leave them in his castle.After that you face another easy fight against Ganegor the Mystic and then you reach your first greater obstacle:Sir Moradon the Cruel!He has all castle troops,including the powerful knights!That's when the harder fights begin.Rob shouldn't be too hard!

Actually, it was my own ghosts that wiped me out... Frankly, they went psyco after killing too much. I knew I shouldn't have let them join me (Paladin with castle creatures, including calvary).  Anyway, this performance was especially crap, since I went as far as having 3 villans left to catch.

U have to be very careful with ghosts,they will easily go out of control.I never use ghosts,cuz I'm afraid they'll go berserk and kill me.

Does anyone ever use knights(the creature)? They're damn slow, and isn't all that powerful compared to other top level creatures. Does anyone have a good use for them?

Of course I do!So what if they're slow.
A good use for them ragon slaying!
They are good for that,cuz you'll have quite a lot of them,they have high damage and hitpoints,I use them the same way as cavalry:I find a villian,if its too strong,I recruit knights and attack,after that I leave the knights,cuz they're too xpensive to carry around.

Forget about the knights. They're not good even in an ironic way.
Get to the 4th world as soon as possible and buy some vamps instead.

Yeah,get the vamps and dragons!They rule!Forget about demons also,they are the most xpensive to carry around!Also forget about archmages!You won't get enough of them to do you good!THey are very weak compared to vamps and Dragons!If you get them,it won't hurt u to get them.But they are too weak,and you can get only 25 of them!

Kings Bounty still rocks!
King's Bounty was the start of HOMM--we all know that, but has anyone ever played the PS2 version of HOMM? Reading this thread made me realize that the PS2 game is a combination of King's Bounty and HOMM IV. I really enjoyed both versions and would like to hear any comments regarding the PS2 version.
*ps--I just downloaded KB and will be playing to beat the site's posted highest score!!

the true strateg yis like this:
first u will destroy 3first villans with the minimum army u can get with ,...lets say about 250o(boat and catapult)and then u will find the passage to sahara and u will only carry the creatures that can fly if u don`t have them u can`t have the maximum army cause if some one wants to join u...the u will take some 7dragons and go and destroy every one u can
easy ,isn`t it

Past startup screen?
Okay I remembered having alot of fun playing kings bounty way back when. So I looked into it and found some dos based programes in abandonedware sights. Game works just like I remember it only problem is the old security system. When they ask you what the word is on page x, line y, word z. I found 2 different manuals online but they dont' have the right format! I would love to be able to play this game and I just don't understand how no one else is running into this problem except me.
Please help if you can by posting a reply to the board.

If I recall, don't ghosts all turn into peasants during a week of the peasant?
And I'd hate to tell you how many hours of my life this game has eaten away. (Both the DOS and the console version. I can't remember if it was Sega or Nintendo. Seems to me it was the NES).
The strat I always worked was to get to the 4th island as soon as I could, try to find the dragons while avoiding every fight, and then getting a dragon. Get back to the 1st island, go kick some major butt, get all the promotions, etc, get more dragons, as my leadership went up. Knock off the villians, get the arties, and try to find the treasure.
Very seldom would I have to go after the main baddy. Generally I found it without him.
Yeah, it may be dated, but it's still a rocking game.

hello i was downloading old games which i remembered playing and i come across kings bounty dl it and started playing i have now killed all the villians and got all the artifacts but still dont know how to find the sepeter i have looked everywhere for it and still cant find it how should i look for it and does any one know where it is?
