The thread to be removed is a duplicate and has a rather "destructive" theme, and is way off-topic for the Altar.
This thread is also a bit off-topic to the Altar, but there is no other forum to put it, except perhaps the Tavern where anything goes, so I may just keep it here. The difference between the two threads is that this is aimed to achieve something constructive, while I reckon the motivation behind the second thread is overall destructive.
Do note that comments about H3 would normally go to the Library of Enlightment and comments about H4 to Lands of Axeoth.
For short: A topic with a constructive aim is tolerated here, but pure Heroes 4 bashing is not.

oh, who was attacking who? what concerns me, i just said that no one was attacking players in the 'No need to bring Heroes 3 and 4 players together,' (although there were some contradictive opinions about the game, no one was attacking any players).
i even made a great effort to reproduce the full text of the post that said that medusa was not going to kill anybody, and when she was saying 'but i don't think i'm gonna kill,' it was clearly just to make some innocent fun of those who get too personal over game preferences of other people. hey, read medusa's post, please. the only purpose of my post was to point out that no player was attacked or called names in the other thread, at least until and including medusa's post that was the last post at that moment.

ok, to put it clear: i don't think that medusa was obsessed with the dilemma -- to kill all homm3 players or not to kill all homm3 players but only some of them.
ok, i can do even better: i don't think that medusa meant to say that she was thinking about killing any homm3 players.
(and imho it's also a bit funny to put such imho self-evident things that clear)

huh, is this off-topic? ways to bring people together. if they are quarrelling because of silly misunderstandings, an attempt to explain that there was no trouble to begin with, would be to the topic, wouldn't it?
is there something to argue about? were we arguing?

so this post is my first arguably off-topic post in this thread imho, considering that there's a more suitable thread for that atm. but if there wasn't (and as i understand, the other thread is to be removed in the nearest future), it would be to the topic imho as a different opinion.
i suggest to be selective: bring the majority of them together with some exceptions.

hmm.. maybe it's like bringing homm and diablo playeers together?
actually my personal opinion is that homm3 and homm4 do have quite a lot in common, but the players are probably making their differences look greater than they really are, based on their preferences of one game or another.
and imho homm2 and homm3 also have a lot in common, but homm2 and homm4 have a lot less in common.
imho what has kept the community together was that the games were getting worse (in some people's opinion), stimulating people to think on their own about how things could be made in a different way in a sequel. but now that it looks like there might be no sequel, at least i myself don't really find a good reason for me to be here, and i am starting to get ideas of some other things that i could do instead.

because i happen to play homm at netcafe quite often..and see/hear h3 guys playing..
..i tell you, groove is completely diferent..
and as for h4-h3 relationship..h3 players snowing and h4 ignoring..as usual.

we`re a blend of homm3&4 players and we seem to get on well enough..
the problem is to make a game that appeals to both.. if the concept gets adopted by another company that is

as for me, it's often not the concept, but the way it is implemented, that i don't like. if a game developer said: 'let's have heroes on the battlefield' and the publisher said: 'ok, i'll pay you for that,' then if it didn't turn out ok, the developer could say: 'you wanted heroes on the battlefield, they are on the battlefield, you got what you payed for.'
personally, i wouldn't mind heroes walking on their heads if some genius comes up with an idea how to make it so that it improves the game significantly.

You are right but its kinda sad too. Unity stems from mutual respect. H2 is a great game, H3 is a great game and H4 is a great game.
What makes them all great? Each game has players who believe in them.
When H3 was released it was bashed, H4 is being bashed now, and I bet you H5 will get similar treatment. It is a shame.

Djive this thread is to show any comments for ways for us players in heroes 3-4 to coexist in one awesome game so all can play in one single game then split off in 2.
This thread is asking for ideas for any ways HEROES 5 can be improved so this thread is defanately apropriate for this forum.
