New Ideas
It seems that every new tourney that comes out it dont get played as much but reg games do.
Also it seems it does get played but then it just seems to be forgotton after a month or so.
I am curious how we can make sub tournies more interesting.
Mayhaps prizes worth wild.
I am thinking that just a runned sub tourney without any prizes can be dead.
Then lets take a look at what sub tournies are still active & what makes it active.
Sometimes Short termed tournies can work out good.
Also not a good job counting on players finishing thier games in the random tournies because alot are also inactive at the moment.
What I mean also is that soon heroes 5 will be out mayhaps next yr or so sometime.
I am sure they wont make similar mistakes as in heroes 4 like terrible transfer rate & hugh requirments where the game crashes even with a good com.
So what can we do to make a final full yr hit I mean like a great tourney kind of like clans was for awhile.
We can get some of the best idealistics, put our heads together & think of somethang really big.
Kind of like in the beggining of this season remember we were going to bring back an old tourney but we had to look over some of the maps but never followed through.
I really doubt that 3DOOOH will make the same mistake again & heroes 5 will be an awesome hit because I think they know they have to somehow combine the game play in both games into one awesome game.
What I am hoping for is everyone come together on one hit game.
Mayhaps even some of the retired players will come back as well like JB etc.
I think may be a great idea as a final finale a nice long term tourney.
Also I am worried what will happen to Mandi if Heroes 5 does make such a hit that heroes 3-4 becomes obsolete & Vesuvius becomes in charge of us all once again, what will happen to her, will Myths be back?
I hope you all consider this because the time will come I can forsee it, as Ves was very obstimistic about heroes 4 for so long I am obtimistic about heroes 5 as well.

Interesting
Trick to making a successful tourney is making it addictive or give it a lot of publicity by building up hype. also, if you make it too long, it gets old and boring, and people who are active become inactive cause things change
I think its much too far away to think about H5 now

Yea still in the early stages now I believe hehe.
What I was thinking is a good idea is to plan ahead so we wont have to make last minute choices & for example
What if Ves takes over all of TOH again, WIll Mandi still be in charge or will Myths be back.
Sometimes good to plan ahead early just incase.

Bring in divisions.
I can only speak for me but to have divisions running again would atleast make me collect up those 4 required games fast and would prolly get my playing mood up high again.
If any division wants me that is

Wayyy too far ahead to think of homm5
Chances are if Mandi & Raven are still into it, homm3 ToH would remain as is, and homm5 would replace homm4 ToH. That would make a lot more sense than closing one.
About divisions for homm5, it would probably be like homm4's clan system, a hybrid of clans and land-based divisions. It has been the most popular and its strength lies in numbers. So if activity would be positive in homm5, this new clans would be a must-have.

Yea I was thinking waaay up there but just like you Ves I am really optimistic like you were so long before heroes 4 was out hehe.
As for clans & if everyone comes back & most likey Heroes 3 wont be around for being really old, clans will be a big hit with over 100 players or more no doubt

Amen to that.
About Mah/ToH, this place looks dead already. No sub tournaments, no players. Every tournament that has Mandi in it seems to fade away even before it starts.

dont blame mandi for this, its the activity levels of the overall community. Homm3 is old, face it. MaH is still far more active than all the other homm3 tourneys combined.
Divisions will not work with the current level of activity, not in homm3 or homm4.

If zone cant support a pissy little sub like natves??....
mind u natives was phuked from the start...(bad Kitty..
My biggest complaint is since HC Chair Motor retired from playing...
there has been ABSOLUTLY no promotion or publicity bout any of the subs...
Just take a look at the ToH news on mainpage....zzzzzzz
Motor was the driving force behind the resurgence of ToH..

The problem was Mandi didnt take my advice & ANdi & Motor Mocked me but I told them that a HC member head of HC should not be an active player but knows the game.
Think about it though Pandora & Yawacko,retired because of it,Deth 8 because of being head HC,Destro & he told me personally because of being head HC but wont get into details & last but most likely not least Motor.
It just too much & really takes alot out of you & is just so agrivating & unapreciative players that they just cant handle the pressure.
I am disapointed in Motor because he lies to me saying it is just no fun & I remember how dedicated he was to bring this game back & I knew he could & I was one of the only ones that supported him.
Just makes me feel bad i lost playing a great player I can learn from but also have fun.
I mean just say it cause we already know how stressful being the head HC is.
You know Motor not all thi9nk that bad & we needed this extra push to bring right to this game.
Dont get me wrong I did disagree with Ramses & Cross but you know it was done & we have to support it but you leaving us like this was pretty much like letting us down.
But I still respect all you done & you know I always have.

IMO splexx has a great point.
You might have the best idea for a tourney but if you dont do any commercial for it it will just... die out.
IMO things need to be looked at, how many tournaments has kicked off and how many has been finished in a good way?
As far as i know, only some mapmasters tournies....why?
one name: Motorschaaf.
The opinions about this guy might be many, but thing really needs to be pointed out: he gets things done.
IMO he was the inspiration that heroes3 TOH needed, his dedication to the game, TOH and its tournies was exactly what this game needed.
I know of this dedication because not only did he spend alot of his time promoting the tournies he was responsible of...like talking for em in zone and make draws for MM matchups there, he also was involved with many other things... i know because i discussed several of these ideas with him.
IMO credits needs to be given out where its needed and motors deserves some now.
So in a way making him head of HC was the dumbest thing so do, because its leading to reduced activity in the tournies.
The solotion for all this then?...dunno, but some more activity from TOH/MAH admins would be good. I may not visit zone frequently nowadays but i havent seen ONE tournament being promoted there since motors days.
To keep this game alive until heroes V we sure need some more dedicated people though, thats for sure.

No it's not that hes doing bad being the head HC Stiven.
Hes bringing us what we needed & alot of discipline also to the noobs even though I dont agree with a couple thangs.
You know Motor you told me once that somebody had to do the job.
You know your not the only one who is willing or can only do the job right.
I was also willing but was turned down so basically Motor you got the job because you were trusted which i was not or probally quite a few others, so saying someone has to do it I have to disagree because your not the only one that wants to make it right.

hehe you misunderstood me acu.
I never said that motors were doing a bad job at HC, (ive said the opposite several times) i said that having him as head of HC instead of an active player and tournament promotor has led to lesser activity.

yup,and every descision motor made many were down his throat. pretty ungrateful imo, same crap ves put up with,no wonder he got tired of running a league of ungrateful dinks
