There Will be a Heroes of War
Initially I was going to divert my energies to create a homm3 clan supertournament for their next season -- but its better if we fire up the Heroes of War tourn. Its fun as hell, and I finally figured a way of making it fun and workable whether we have 12 participants or 128.
The cool images I have been pooling for homm3 Clans can be applied to this tournament.
I'll be working on its framework next week, then have a few volunteers discuss the rest of the design with me. I will need at least two people who can dedicate to help editing maps. I've learned that my map editing skills are not the way they were in homm3.
What makes it a fast tourn is that each battle/war does not take more than 30 minutes.

Its funny that Ves is compasionate enough to still saddle and shoe a dead horse. i.e. Why waste your time and energy on H3 super tournies. Are the 10 veterans in H3 that active?

Actually there are still alot more vets & other good players that dont post here that play on zone still but yea it sounds like a good idea since I play both heroes 3 & a little 4 in times.
I will be getting my cable soon so I may stray from heroes 3 to play 4 a bit & see if that can help from disconnects & transfer times.
When I read Ravens reply Ves it did sound like she didnt need your help & unapreciative even though she said it was not that.
Makes me feel bad you went through alot of trouble to help us & then those replies came out like that but I think we may have gotten the wrong idea.
Well I am getting my cable in a few days I am guessing so count me in if it works out & I can play.
I respect both tournies of heroes 4-3 I dont think it's right for people like Jinxer to bash it because he used to love the game also.

2nd season for Homm4
Right now there is no need for a second season; usually my indicator for the need of a second season occurs after there are over a dozen emperors. (Thats when the grandfinals between emperors occurs for a Caesar)... and that will be the ultimate achievement in homm4 ToH.
Anyways with the Heroes of War I will be working on it next week; first I need to catch up on clan updates lol.

oh yes, actual statistics-wise...
activity level in homm3 ToH is at about 100 units/week, while homm4 ToH is at about 75 units/week.
So in reality homm3 is more active that homm4.

Heroes 4 is a cool game and all BUT you can never replace a classic. IMNSHO H4 is a new and revived chess game but you can NEVER replace classic chess. The old dog named H3 will not die easily.

Heroes 3 was an AMazing game. I dedicated 4 years of my life to that game. So I agree it was Great! But new and better things come out. Time to move on etc.
Anyone remember the game PONG. The little cursor ball that blounced from one side of screen to the other and you had to bounce it off a little bar etc. That was a CLASSIC! But people moved on hehe. Forward progress
